    I don't think abolishing the leagues is necessary, but it would be nice to have one series against each AL team each year. Interleague could be year-round. My biggest problem with the interleague play thing has been the whole made up rivalries thing, where the Cubs play the White Sox six times, the Royals play the Cardinals six times, the Padres play the Mariners six times, and so on. I know, baseball loves to pretend there's some measure of parity coming into each season. But let's face it, that's just a load of garbage. I'd rather see a balancing out of the interleague schedule within each division if at all possible. That won't happen considering the amount of cash some of those games bring in, but the novelty is likely wearing off at this point in plenty of places.

    Nick Adenhart, Humberto Sanchez, Matt Albers, Jacob McGee, Ubaldo Jimenez, Mark Rogers... i'll give you sanchez, and mcgee's been about the same, but hill's been better than adenhart, albers, jimenez and (by a loooong ways) rogers. Rogers is leading the minors in K/9 last I checked.

    The Cubs probably won't get anyone of much value from the Yankees. Thankfully, two of their pitchers I'm curious about (Jeff Marquez and Tyler Clippard) are both struggling in High A and AA (respectively), yet are still putting up some nice peripherals. I'd like to see Jimbo get one or both of them for Jones. But then again, if Hendry can get a sack of magic beans for Jones, I'd be all for it.

    I feel bad for Owen; he's been one of my favorite guys in soccer ever since the WC four years ago when he scored that insane goal against the Brazilians.

    Pat Riley just won a title with Stan Van Gundy's blood all over his suit. The refs horribly botched this series. The superstar treatment is back in the NBA. As much as I like some of the guys on the Heat...I really can't bring myself to be all to thrilled about this.

    Yeah, I posted that here along with Paxson's comments. Another reason why I think a Bulls-Knicks trade is really unlikely this offseason. I suspect there are some lingering hard feelings over the Curry deal on both sides. Wouldn't surprise me. However, there are plenty of other teams around the league who the Bulls could trade with. One team I've been hearing a decent amount recently is the Lakers.
