  1. Guilty pleasure involving dirty humor #37: Watching any sporting event with players named "Wang" and "Dong" involved.
  2. Prior has basically become a right handed Rich Hill after his injury.
  3. Are you implying what I think you might be implying in regards to roids?
  4. See guys, Prior did bring an offensive boost back with him! ...for the other team.
  5. The fact that Bob Brenly has been accurately calling some of Leyland's managerial moves before they happen is incredibly sad, in my mind. Their team is incredibly talented and there isn't exactly much of a need for strategy in the AL. Even a moron can successfully manage a team in the AL.
  6. The Tigers' first run of the series came on a sacrifice fly with no outs, for those of you wondering.
  7. After watching this series this weekend, I'd debate that "good manager" part.
  8. Watch the trainers come out and Mark gets put on the 60 Day DL again.
  9. Bunting with the #3 hitter? Man, Leyland is a moron.
  10. Let's see if Mark can give up the cycle in the first.

The Chiefs clinched their division championship while the Diamond Jaxx made a late run at a spot in the playoffs, but finished one game behind due to the Chattanooga Lookouts winning today. Let's hear it for them! =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/ Here's hoping all of the Cubs affiliates make it to the playoffs in the coming months!
  12. Kenny Rogers you say? http://dl.glitter-graphics.net/pub/6/6539mh29rvysi0.gif http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/4215/mlburogers4120vx.jpg
  13. That's because his last name is Burrows.
  14. Not necessarily, but those long fly balls in Daytona and West Tenn might be out of the park or off the wall in Des Moines.
  15. Italy will want to play hard because a tie could mean they get second place...and a date with Brazil in the second round.
  16. There's reason for concern with Veal, but the Cubs' MO is really apparent to me at this point regarding how they treat pitchers making their full season debut. Basically, they just try to get their pitchers through the majority of a full season at one level and then typically promote the guy in the last week or two if he does well enough. Remember, one of the biggest concerns with Veal in the draft was his ability to maintain his stuff over the course of a full season. Also, he has a decent road ahead of him as a pitcher with two pitcher's leagues in Daytona and West Tenn. I think he'll improve as time goes on.
  17. I think it'll come around. If his plate discipline really has improved this much, he will eventually start getting those XBHs we've come to know and love from him. :D I hope so. It is still very early in the season for him. He's coming back from a serious leg injury. What matters most while he makes his recovery is that he shows good command of the strike zone and puts the bat on the ball. Eventually his power will return.

  19. Now we do the happy dance. OY OY OY!
  20. On a side note, has anyone else been pleasantly surprised by his OBP this season?
  21. Unless we somehow manage to annihilate Ghana, that's pretty much the case.
