  1. Nick Adenhart, Humberto Sanchez, Matt Albers, Jacob McGee, Ubaldo Jimenez, Mark Rogers...
  2. It is rather odd but he still hits the ball pretty hard; Canzler's stance is quite odd to me. What's it look like?
  3. Chad Fox says hi. Completely false. Your completely false. YOU'RE A TOWEL!
  4. "I've always managed winning teams." And of course, the ultimate deflection tool that's like a shiny object for stupid reporters: "I was on deck when Hank Aaron hit 715."
  5. The Cubs probably won't get anyone of much value from the Yankees. Thankfully, two of their pitchers I'm curious about (Jeff Marquez and Tyler Clippard) are both struggling in High A and AA (respectively), yet are still putting up some nice peripherals. I'd like to see Jimbo get one or both of them for Jones. But then again, if Hendry can get a sack of magic beans for Jones, I'd be all for it.
  6. I feel bad for Owen; he's been one of my favorite guys in soccer ever since the WC four years ago when he scored that insane goal against the Brazilians.
  7. What were they doing? I turned it off after Wade threw it in the air. Just booing him loud enough for the microphones to pick up. It likely won't be acknowledged in the media.

  9. He'll hold his tongue. Game 7 had some bad moments, but he already said everything he needed to say.
  10. Robin to his Batman? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y250/ikesulat/Misc/batmantouchedrobin.jpg
  11. If this were WWE, the fans would have been chanting, "[expletive]! [expletive]!" at Stern right around now.
  12. Dallas fans are letting Stern have it. Wow.
  13. Something tells me Shaq's going to retire in the offseason.
  14. Pat Riley just won a title with Stan Van Gundy's blood all over his suit. The refs horribly botched this series. The superstar treatment is back in the NBA. As much as I like some of the guys on the Heat...I really can't bring myself to be all to thrilled about this.
  15. The refs were too busy calling in a medical crew because they thought he was having a seizure.
  16. I'm surprised Dirk didn't body slam the ref when he tried to get the ball.
  17. I heard 8 foot wing span.
  18. Conversation overheard last night at a local Clevelad pub. Bob Wickman: Holy crap, is that you Glen?! Glendon Rusch: Yep, how goes it Bobby? Bob Wickman: You're looking svelte, you sexy beast!
  19. Yeah, I posted that here along with Paxson's comments. Another reason why I think a Bulls-Knicks trade is really unlikely this offseason. I suspect there are some lingering hard feelings over the Curry deal on both sides. Wouldn't surprise me. However, there are plenty of other teams around the league who the Bulls could trade with. One team I've been hearing a decent amount recently is the Lakers.
  20. It just goes to show you how pathetic our franchise is. I hear ya. Wanna bet Florida wins another WS before we do? At the rate things are going, Ricky Nolasco will win NL ROY! Blanco es en fuego. Nice send, Chris.
  21. In all fairness to Mark_R, I have heard some rumors from various sources that the Bulls might trade Gordon in the offseason. Some of those sources are more credible than others, but there does seem to be something possibly happening with Gordon on the horizon. For example, the NY Post or one of those rags said that Pax was going to trade Gordon to the Knicks for one of their "talented guards", but that led to a hilarious response from Paxson who basically ripped the Knicks and that paper a new one for even suggesting that.
  22. Frankly, I'm shocked they got him for so cheap.
  23. I don't think either trade is likely. I'd be shocked to see the Bulls and Knicks make another deal this off season, and, as I've said, I think Isiah only parts with Frye as part of a package for a superstar, like KG. I don't even think the Knicks have the cap space to get a guy like KG at this point. Frye is a nice guy with some upside, but given their current draft pick and talent status, I'm really doubtful as to the Knicks' trading abilities at this point. Isaiah botched things really, really, really badly.
  24. Is it me or does Peter Crouch always look like a kid who just got separated from his mother at the beach?
  25. The MLB draft rules are really bizarre. A gentlemen's agreement exists among all of the teams. While there is no slotting system for picks in terms of salaries, there are still recommended contract amounts for each pick/round. If a team's offer goes over one of those amounts, MLB can send a sternly-worded letter to that team asking them to rescind the offer, which teams can follow or blow off altogether.
