    The problem with the changes to the ball is that, in recent years, I don't think anyone has ever conclusively proven that the ball is indeed juiced. If you were trying to argue more for changes in the rules or expansion as being reasons behind the fluctuations in those numbers, you'd have a lot more information to back it up. However, dealing with the ball itself is much harder to quantify.
