What's your opinion on Pie, based on what you've seen? Do you think the hype is legit or do we have another Corey Patterson on our hands? -
If Cedeno's in the deal, I want Tejada back. Cedeno is a pretty good bet to out-produce Theriot next season and Theriot is just not going to cut it full-time at SS next season. If we go into opening day with Theriot at SS, I will not be happy.

Quite frankly, I'd have no problem with Hendry offloading Veal in this deal. I really do not think Veal has what it takes to ascend to his ceiling, given his age and serious control problems. If it's Marshall and Veal, I'd give serious consideration to it.

I think the difficulty everyone would have revolves around Figgins' price tag, his likelihood of repeating those numbers, and the possibility that Pie or Colvin will match or out-produce his numbers 2-3 years from now.

Another rumor on their board from one of their insiders states that the Roberts deal might be Prior and Hill for Roberts. :shock: That's worse than what Steve Phillips reported!

Amen. It's about frickin time. We did it with Freddie Bynum (Kevin Hart). However, we still owe them for Sosa and Patterson. And Trachsel. I figure Bynum cancels out Trachsel. I'm open to debate on the matter, though.

I'm glad we have restrictions on allowing membership, but at the same time, I wish we didn't at times like these so that posters from other forums can give their input on the fly.

WHAT?! Better not. I'm hoping Phillips is full of crap. He is. That deal would be absolute insanity. Who the hell would Hendry replace Hill and Marshall with in that deal?

No. Jim Hendry will not make any big trades. Instead, he will acquire a Japanese reliever few people have ever heard of, make a trade for Alex Cora (in which he ships out a promising prospect that later becomes a 5 time All Star in the AL), and publicly bemoan the fact that a number of trades he wanted to do simply couldn't get done despite the fact that MLB had one of the wildest offseasons in recent memory, with nearly every team making big trades.
