Here's my beef... I can palate losing to Webb. He's one of the five best pitchers in the NL and is a legit ace. If you lose to him, it's most likely because he's good rather than your team being bad. But losing to Doug [expletive] Davis? Losing to Livan Hernandez whose arsenal consists of meatballs and gopherballs? Both pitched like crap against the Cubs...but again and again, they gave the Cubs enough rope to hang themselves with. This was a piss-poor showing from an offense we all thought showed some signs of living up to its potential. The offense played HORRIBLY in this series. Heads need to roll for this showing; it's sickening.
They're going to have a rather tough time with the pending sale. They'll have to be creative and I, for one, am going to be intrigued in seeing Jim Hendry think outside of the box. If it's a box of Krispy Kremes, we're screwed.
