  1. As long as the Cubs don't have to pay him anything, I have no problems with this move.
  2. rotate every inning Can we have someone dressed up as the Mad Hatter to announce this every inning? http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/5925/madhatterdd1.jpg CHANGE PLACES!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I'm lukewarm on him. If he can be had at a reasonable price, I'd be all for it. However, considering he's seeking years and numbers that I'm not particularly a fan of, I'd rather pass on him.
  4. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  5. We need a reliever who can't throw strikes!
  6. The thing about relief pitchers is that they are so volatile from year to year. I really do not want to see the Cubs invest a lot of resources into another relief pitcher. Cripes, every year you can pick up guys from the scrap heap, bring up prospects from your own system, and even look to international free agents for help. It's a cheaper way of dealing with any perceived bullpen problems. Frankly, I think the Cubs have a handful of guys who could become good relievers next year in their system. This kind of a move is unnecessary.
  7. I think this might be Hendry's first step in an offseason of house cleaning with regards to contracts. If he really wants Fukudome, Kuroda, and Matsui that badly, he's going to have to dump some salaries. I can see DeRosa and Marquis getting the heave-ho if things keep up like this.
  8. So, I'm guessing this means Felix Pie is getting thrown into the fire next season as the starting CF?
  9. I'm going to wait and see what the details of this deal are before passing judgment. Jones for Infante straight up is ludicrous, but if there are prospects and/or cash considerations involved, I'll give it some more thought. By the way, this isn't Hendry's worst move by a longshot. Hell, it's not even the worst move he's made in the past 3 months.
  10. Fixed.
  11. Seriously, what is the best Out of Conference win for a Big 10 team this year? Ohio State at 3-6 Washington? 3-6 Washington State at Wisconsin? 4-5 Pittsburgh at MSU?
  12. Heh...heh heh...heheheheh...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. It's nice to dream and all...but that ain't happening.
  13. *Fist pump* Yay. :D
  14. I don't care for either team, but I'm a Badgers fan. There have been some terrible, terrible calls and no calls by the officials in this one.
  15. I'm hoping for Michigan, Ohio State, Kansas, and Hawaii to make BCS bowls. ESPN will be impressively shrill and whiny for a solid year.
  16. Gee, where was the helmet to helmet penalty for that one?
  17. That's two TDs the refs gifted Michigan. What a joke.
  18. So, should the refs just make it official by ripping off their uniforms to reveal maize and blue jerseys underneath?
  19. Sexson's been rumored to be going to the Giants since the Hot Stove kicked in. Ray Durham's been rumored to be the guy the Mariners would want in exchange. As for Randy Winn...no thanks.
  20. Beasley set a conference rebound record against Sacramento State tonight with 24. Kid's going to be a monster, imo.
