  1. Thank you, June Jones. Yeesh, I was worried they'd just run it up the middle to chew up the clock and try kicking a last second field goal.
  2. Says you, woman. :P
  3. June Jones better not decide to have this game come down to his kicker. I don't like Hawaii's chances in OT.
  4. I'd seriously consider him at the end of the first round or any point in the second round if I'm a team looking for a QB. He has the arm and size to be a successful QB in the NFL. You have to look beyond his numbers because of the system he plays in, but he's still a really intriguing prospect.
  5. I wonder if he still reserves tickets for anyone who can prove they're Elvis?
  6. Hell of a missed holding call on the left side of the line, but WOW that was an amazing throw.
  7. Probably not. BC lost and most of the teams below them were either idle or lost. If Hawaii wins tonight, they get an automatic berth. Yikes.
  8. ATTN: Return Men Unless your name is Devin Hester, you are not Devin Hester. Quit trying to pull crap like running backwards on punt and kick returns. You are not fast/agile/smart enough to pull it off.
  9. *Ahem* CRIPPLE FIGHT!
  10. This is a strangely enjoyable game. I don't think this speaks well regarding Hawaii's talent, though...
  11. YEOWCH! That was close!
  12. I can see scenarios where teams might be willing to tank in order to get more favorable matchups in a potential playoff. how would you get a better matchup by losing? seems unlikely. Maybe it'd be a rare situation, but bear with me. Let's say a team is ranked #3 with the top two teams maintaining their spots. The #3 team matches up really well with the teams hovering around the 7-10 area, but really does not like any potential matchups with teams who could finish the season ranked #13. So, instead of going out and winning their conference championship game, they tank and attempt to move down a few spots in order to get the better draw. Again, it's unlikely, but not unheard of (see: NBA playoffs).
  13. I can see scenarios where teams might be willing to tank in order to get more favorable matchups in a potential playoff.
  14. I think the biggest difficulty there is that the conferences would throw a fit since that would basically cause teams to disregard winning their conferences in favor of trying to get ranked in the Top 16. Granted, I'd imagine the vast majority of conference champions would be ranked in the Top 16, but there's still the possibility that it might cause a conference champion to miss out.
  15. Ideally, I'd LOVE to see a 16 team playoff. I'd have it structured like: 6 BCS conference champion teams 6 second place teams in those BCS conferences 4 at large bids for teams that are either really good third place teams in their conferences or are non-BCS conference champions (if they have a good enough record) However, that system would involve 5 weeks' worth of playoffs, since the structure of football tends to ask for a week off between games. Alternatively, I could also see an 8 team playoff, with the same structure as above, only no second place teams and two at-large bids. However, considering the NCAA has a penchant for screwing things up in football, I could see them having a four team playoff using the teams ranked 1-4.
  16. This year has been unique in so many ways that I don't think you can count on this type of thing happening again. There've been years past where people have said that things got as bad as they could get...and yet, here we are. That was a TD.
  17. Meanwhile, Hawaii finally decides to make a ballgame out of this one. 28-14.
  18. This assumes LSU in the NC? Even if Georgia takes their place, the Sugar Bowl would still take LSU...right?
  19. Hawaii: Where being obese gets you a job as a mascot.
  20. OH-VER-RATE-ED! *Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap*
  21. This is turning into a laugher in a hurry.
  22. A heck of a lot of hell. Seriously, whoever gets chosen to be the #2 team, there will be a lot of complaints from a number of fans from a number of schools.
  23. Washington is the only team on there that I think would be likely to beat some of the lower echelon teams in the Big 10. Those other three teams are complete and utter jokes. I don't see how you can make a good argument for OSU's defense because they smacked around two of the worst teams in the MAC and the third best team in the Gateway Conference.
  24. OSU's non-conference schedule: Youngstown State Akron @Washington Kent State Washington is 4-8, with its four wins coming against Syracuse, Boise State, Stanford, and Cal. You cannot make a serious case for the other three being anything more than organizational fodder for the Buckeyes.
  25. *Flips to the Washington/Hawaii game* Time to see if the Rainbow Warriors crash the BCS party.
