    How can you miss Gallagher when he has only pitched 14 innings? In those 14 innings he has given up 19 hits and 14 ER to go along with 12 walks. Not that Marshalls track recored is very good, I would certainly prefer to trade Gallagher over Marshall at this point, especially if it nets us B. Roberts. Welcome aboard!

    hes going to get 15-20 HRs minimum and 40-50 doubles. give him a .300 BA (pretty likely) and 70-80 walks (pretty likely) that makes him comparable to JD Drew in 2006..which was a .300 EqA. and Fred Lynn (career .297 EqA). I'll go on record as saying that this kind of production out of Fukudome will have me tap-dancing in the streets. Them's some good numbers.

    Kind of impressive to see a malnourished kid grow that tall, though. If there's a lack of calcium in his diet, Lord knows how tall he actually should be!

    I've been maintaining this from the beginning about Michael Vick. If he ran a [expletive]-fighting ring, nobody would have cared. When chickens have out lived their usefulness and let out into the wild they're still just chickens. When dogs do, they kill people. I don't know, my cousin was attacked by a vicious rooster...     I've been maintaining this from the beginning about Michael Vick. If he ran a [expletive]-fighting ring, nobody would have cared. When chickens have out lived their usefulness and let out into the wild they're still just chickens. When dogs do, they kill people. Yes, but I don't think Vick let any of his dogs out into the wild. He killed the ones that were not of any use to him. When you kill a chicken, you get a delicious dinner!

    Wait. You sayin' yet another Cubs top pick has been wasted? I wouldn't call it "wasted" if we end up trading him for a tangible asset like Roberts. :D

    Believe me, it's a much better idea than giving up Pie and Gallagher. I'm not a big fan of Veal's ability to reach the majors and succeed as a starting pitcher. As a potential power reliever? Possibly. However, if that's his future, I'd be happy to trade that for Roberts.

    Whoa whoa whoa, let's get one thing straight. Cedeno partied, no one's denying that. Farnsworth partied on an epic scale. I'm talking about having it get to the point where every bartender, waitress, and barfly in Wrigleyville had a crazy story about Farnsworth. Cedeno's nowhere near that point yet.

    Seconded. I'm fine with trading Colvin and Veal since I'm skeptical of their abilities to reach their ceilings compared to guys like Gallagher and Pie.
