  1. Yes because baseball is played by computers and not humans. Holy crap...you mean to tell me the robots have finally taken over?!?!?! http://www.londondance.com/image_library/17/46/13667.jpg Nothing says "suave" like a gawky 6'7 Englishman.

  3. Mike Holmgren believes you has his bukkit.
  4. Basically, he got a look-see at the Cubs' accountings.
  5. Simple question: Who do you think are the most undeserving Hall of Famers? Bill Mazeroski and Luis Aparicio come to mind.
  6. Unless cash is exchanged, the Jays basically go from a 3/$35.25m contract to a 3/$33m contract. Glaus also has his share of injury issues. I could see a prospect going from the Cardinals to the Jays if this goes down, though. How do you get 3/$35.25? The player option is for 2009, not 2010. Whoops, my brain was still stuck in 2007.

  8. Somebody keep Rich Hill away from Cameron. That'd be a defensive nightmare for the Brewers. LaPorta does not have the arm or range to play RF, from everything I've read about him. Braun might be able to handle RF, but he'd first have to cleanly transition into the OF. We'll see how that goes.
  9. This pretty much depends on how the Cubs view Pie, Colvin, and E-Patt. If they think they can get at least league-average production out of those three (be it individually or in some combination) over the course of next season, then someone like Melky wouldn't be of much interest to them. However, if they don't think that way, and if they don't think any one of those three will even pan out to be league average in their careers, there probably is something to this.
  10. Dee Brown's in Turkey? ...I really don't know how to respond to that.
  11. It was purdy.
  12. That'll make Sportscenter's Top 10.
  13. He thought he could dunk from that angle? Moron.
  14. It's Bo Ryan basketball. I've come to expect this over the years.
  15. I wouldn't be fine with that particular deal. However, I get a bad feeling about Colvin when it comes to next season. People who like him can make excuses for his flaws since being drafted due to his tools and bright spots. At the same time, with the lack of walks he draws, there's a realistic chance that AA and AAA pitchers will eat him alive next season. If he doesn't magically fix that next season, I have a feeling his trade value will go down the crapper.
  16. More? What's next we're going to include Colvin? I'm a Colvin defender, but I'd be fine giving him up while his trade value is still relatively high.
  17. Can we please stop quoting rumors from their site as truth? They've slipped past MLB Trade Rumors in terms of credibility, imo.
  18. Ditto. Once it gets on a more reputable site, I'll believe the deal's done.
  19. But does Darvish throw a GyRoBALL? Considering his Middle Eastern heritage, I'm guessing it's more along the lines of a Falafelball.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if they only have one loss, considering next season's schedule: August 30 - Youngstown State September 6 - Ohio University September 13 - @USC September 20 - Troy University September 27 - Minnesota October 4 - @Wisconsin October 11 - Purdue October 18- @Michigan State October 25 - Penn State November 8 - @Northwestern November 15 - @Illinois November 22 - Michigan
  21. I'm still going to maintain Ohio State was the 7th best team in the BCS this year, as an FYI.
  22. Arm action is always welcome, but Parker also had some great lower body movement to get the extra oomph on his pitches. If Gray has easy arm action without effective leg action, you might as well pencil him in for a future shoulder/arm surgery.
  23. Parker's mechanics were really good, from what I've read about him. I'd like to see if Gray's mechanics can stack up.
  24. Somebody did it.
