Murton strikes me as the kind of player that needs consistent AB's to be good, he's not a bench player who can play sporadically and still hit. Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner. When Murton is allowed to play through his struggles, he puts up very solid numbers: 2005: .321/.386/135 (BA/OBP/OPS+) 2006: .297/.365/103 When he isn't allowed to do so, he doesn't: .252/.331/74 (hell, even when he is sucking at least he's putting up an OBP some 80 points higher than his average)
