They should start suspending umpires for being belligerent a-holes, or for blatantly costing teams games (like the Phillies right before the ASB) Wait, he got a suspension for that game the ump blew? Apparently for "bumping" the umpire (which he didn't even do) Yep. They gave him a 1 game suspension for coming close to bumping the umpire.

Well that's encouraging. Hasn't Wandy pitched really well against the Cubs in the past? No... 30.2 IP, 31 H, 16 ER, 11 BB, 16 K... 2-3 record, 4.70 ERA. Hmm, I guess I was thinking of someone else. Thanks for digging up the stats! You're probably thinking of Backe. Although, you're right, it still feels like Wandy owns us.

Soto isn't much better than Bown, and Jones is probably better than Pagan. Izturis blows, but then again so do all our other SS. I'd have put Fontenot at short since Lilly is a fly ball pitcher. What of his .341 avg in the minors and ONE game in the big leagues this year has brought you to this conclusion?

99 years of losing will have that effect yes but 2 problems with that... 1.) I'm pretty sure you weren't around for all 99 years :lol: 2.) Neither were the current Cubs. No, but not seeing a victorious team in any of our lifetimes will give you a negative mindset.
