    The rumors were that OKC went to Golden State and Washington first and asked for Klay Thompson or Beal. They were turned down by both teams which is why they went to Houston. Making those two teams maybe even more insane than OKC. How filthy of a backcourt would Curry and Harden be? A little lacking on the defensive end, but man, they would be the best offensive backcourt in the NBA for the next 6-7 years, at least.

    Brett brought up a great point saying that over the 7 years, the cubs are likely getting a discount, but probably not as large as you would think (I think he guesstimated about $49m). Where the deal's perceived bargain is the 2 club options at $14.5m, so while a great deal for the cubs, the overall package still sets Rizzo up considering he still only has 680 ML PA.
