    I was thinking this morning, and you have to like the Bears chances for getting into the playoffs. Right now, the NFC East and South are complete dumpster fires and you're not getting any wild cards out of either division. The West will get both SF and SEA as playoffs teams. And then you have the North with Green Bay, Chicago, and Detroit basically battling it out for two playoff spots. Given Detroit's penchant for implosion, it's a decent scenario to find yourself in.

    Where is Amobi Okoye these days? I want to say that Jeff Dickerson was on W&S claiming the Bears sniffed around Okoye after Sedrick Ellis retired, but he's either banged up or not in game shape, and maybe a combination of the two.

    Frustrating- all the good games are at noon, and then the two afternoon games are pu pu platter delight. Might have to bring up ST at the bar during the bears game.

    The odds of that happening are very low. He's going to get a big offer. He's finally settling in with a competent offensive coach after first dealing with McDaniels then all the Bears rejects. The Bears have the franchise tag. It's just not a huge risk. Yeah. He's not walking. Even if all those things you mentioned weren't in play, he loves it here, has openly indicated in the past that he's not looking to break the bank on his next contract, and his wife has family ties here too (not that it's a huge factor, but just another thing on the pile). Plus, what teams will be looking for a new QB? Clev, Jack, Oak, Az, maybe Minn? Tennessee most likely destination given Cutler's love for Nashville, and Locker being ok but not great.

The Bears have the franchise tag. It's just not a huge risk. Maybe he hasn't directly said it, but isn't it kinda assumed that he wants to stay here anyhow? Especially that he has Marshall with him, and a offensively competent head coach, seems like it would be the smart decision on his part. I recall he said on waddle and silvy last that he would consider a hometown discount, but who knows how much truth there is to that.

    Lets all argue over which diamond is the least shiny next. I can't wait until Derrick and his brother start complaining about not having enough help. Without having won anything yet (an undeserved MVP, withstanding), he's gotta be the most arrogant superstar that I've had on my team. Obviously Jordan doesn't count, because let's see, oh he won 6 NBA titles (btw, does anyone know if he "recruited" Rodman to Chicago?) The Bulls traded for Rodman. No recruiting necessary. And yeah...Jordan had 6 titles....when his career was done. When MJ was Derrick's age, he'd played 4 seasons, and hadn't won a playoff series. So lets ease off the terrible comparisons. Fine, I'm just frustrated. And you're right, comparing Rose to Jordan was terrible.
