  1. All the bracket goons seem to think otherwise. Although I think at this point of the year they often overstate what teams need to do. i just don't think finishing 4-1 boosts them up enough...the only good win in that scenario would be illinois. that would leave them with five top 100 wins. that's how many iowa state has now (with 3 weeks left), and they're as on the bubble as it gets. But Iowa didn't lose to Old Style's Red Raiders. Or Iowa. yet here we are with iowa state with an rpi of 50 and iowa with an rpi of 81. by the way, iowa state probably needs to win 4 of their final 6 to get in, which i'm not sure they can do. but if they do, those 4 will include a win @ wvu + 2 of @ baylor, @ ou, vs. ku, vs. osu. if they pull that off, they certainly have a better resume than iowa. If we play the "if" game, "if" Iowa wins @ Indiana, they'll certainly have a better resume than Iowa State. Not to mention, Iowa won't have the stink of losses to Texas (even with Rugonbo, Kongo or whatever his name is, Texas still isn't very good) and Texas Tech.
  2. There's some twitter chatter that UNC and UVA are headed to the Big Ten.
  3. Andrew Bynum's hair. Wow. http://deadspin.com/5985373/andrew-bynums-hair-is-just-all-fucked-up-now?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow Edit: Apologies for the profanity in the link.

  9. Wichita is out and won't be back in for the rest of the season, but you're going to punish Creighton for losing at Indiana State, who's proven that they're a bubble team? I don't see you trying to get Kansas State kicked out of the polls for losing at Iowa State (Hint: Iowa State = Indiana State, resume wise). can creighton be out of the polls yet? Sorry, I was busy chugging windex.

I don't see you trying to get Kansas State kicked out of the polls for losing at Iowa State (Hint: Iowa State = Indiana State, resume wise). kansas st is overrated and i hate them, but they did beat florida (and okie st and oklahoma x2). creighton's best win is wisconsin. and they lost to drake. If you count Oklahoma as a good win, then I'm going to say so is Arizona State (N), Akron, Indiana State, and @ California. i'm confused by how OU is so highly regarded too, but the fact is, they're 20 in the RPI. RPI can be so weird. For instance, how in the heck is Belmont so high? Last time I looked, they were like 15th or something and their best wins were pretty middle-of-the road. From what I recall, the committee has begun placing less emphasis on RPI when seeding teams and handing out at-large bids.
  12. "If we could start three guys, we'd start three guys. Because I don't really know who deserves to start. You have got to start five."
  13. They have one confusing tourney profile, but I disagree about the "imagine those losses on a BCS team's resume". Losses to the aforementioned, but wins against Miami (FL), Ole Miss, @ Wichita State, and Creighton.

  16. A'Shawn?? I'm surprised he's not an Arizona Wildcat. Tuscon. Two'Shawn. Eh??????
  17. The most underrated part, and probably my favorite part of the Super Bowl, was the Niners coming out of the tunnel with Tupac's "California Love" playing. Pretty freaking sweet, if you ask me. And then you have Jim Harbaugh running behind the team, seemingly looking like he wanted to headbutt someone. Love that guy.
  18. Meanwhile, Wally Szczerbiak is happy that you guys are talking about his alma mater.
  19. Iowa State was actually pretty relevant when Eustachy was crushing natty lights with Mizzou coeds.
  20. Giddy up. Did you mean "Giggy up"?
  21. I agree, except for the presence of Harry Caray and Steve Stone Yuuuuuuuuuup. Harry was tolerable until the stroke in '87, and even before that you'd only really hear the good announcer side of him for a few innings most games before he had too many drinks. Stone always sucked. Even as a kid I couldn't stand him; he sounded like the evil adult from every [expletive] kids movie ever made. This was kind of a damning piece about Harray. Makes him come off as kind of an a$$ http://www.beachwoodreporter.com/sports/sports_main_story.php That Josh Levin part was kinda odd. Although not surprising, seems like Harray put his ego/fame before others and even the product on the field (which, admittedly, was horrendous). Feel lucky to have Len in the booth.
  22. Campana/Sam Fuld for Bauer/Upton?
  23. I dunno about that lineup, but that rotation should be pretty stout. And you're forgetting to put Villaneuva in there as well.
  24. I watched that two times last night. Never heard of Dude Perfect before last night, but for being a little fat guy, he can certainly do some impressive athletic feats.
