  1. Seriously its hilarious that the ball boy inadvertently showed the umpire up even though he technically should have seen the umpire pointing fair lol
  2. Yikes, come on bro how you gonna touch that ball? Edit: nevermind the ball boy was right?!, very astute of him!
  3. That's fine....as we've talked about a ton lately, keep hitting it like that and it will even out.
  4. Regardless of ballpark. The wind is blowing E to W right now so directly in at RF. Probably a HR on a neutral day. That also makes it more of a cross wind going to LF I think, but maybe in just enough to affect some of the other batted balls
  5. Happs double is a HR in 27/30 parks. Makes up a bit for Seiya's HR being a HR just at Wrigley. Edit: also not a HR at Fenway and Coors.
  6. Gonna have to hope 3 runs holds up just in case. Edit: and very next pitch Happ almost homers
  7. Phew...3 hard hit balls all over 106 mph and 2 walks but no damage
  8. Awful 4 pitch walk, none of the pitches were even close
  9. Not a great start to the inning. Come on Rea, at least get through this inning.
  10. Damn great catch. I know many fielders who would have let that drop for fear of hitting the wall
  11. The ball to Seyia was 93.5, ball to Dansby was 93.8
  12. Seiya's HR: 105.7 mph exit velocity, 26 degree launch angle, HR in 1/30 parks (yay Wrigley), .950 xBA, 389 feet Dansby's flyout: 105.4 mph exit velocity, 31 degree launch angle, .850 xBA, 385 feet So basically 0.3 mph less velocity hit 5 degrees higher caused the ball to go 4 less feet
  13. Dammit....got one past the wind, but the wind takes one back.
  14. Says a lot about PCA that when I saw the ball bounce away from the fielders that I briefly wondered if he could get a triple out of it even though it happened in short left field.
  15. Oh they didnt. Honestly just assumed they were giving Shota and Boyd an extra day of rest with Rea going today and then resetting back to the top of the rotation. Seems pretty crazy to do a bullpen game against Crochet. Any game is winnable but dramatically lowering their odds. I get that Counsell is playing the long game though.
  16. Gonna be a tough series right out of the gate. Giolito has allowed just 3 ER total in his last 6 starts and 1 in his last 3, averaging almost 7 innings a start. Then they have Bello who has an ERA under 3 each of the last 2 months. Followed by Crochet who has been one of the best LHP in baseball this year coming off a CG shutout of the Rays. Not trying to be a doomer, we can hit good pitching, especially RHP. And the fact that Rea is going today is somewhat balanced out by the wind blowing in today, then Shota and Boyd going the next 2 games.
  17. PCA double off a lefty!
  18. Wait why isn’t Kyle Tucker doing that in regular season games? Should he be in left field??
  19. Smart getting out so Tucker and PCA don’t have to face the lefty Skubal
  20. horsefeathers that blows
