  1. Yeah I hate hate hate going against the smart heads on this forum because they almost always make logical points and explain it in a way that makes me feel stupid for thinking otherwise but I just can’t with Turner. If Turner is the other option, I want Busch
  2. Sorry I’m gonna be that “so glad we didn’t have Busch up there to look horrible while striking out” guy
  3. Turner and Brujan? And if Berti is a major leaguer he’s a 26th man at best imo
  4. Lmao that might be the worst AB I’ve seen all year
  5. That whole play just felt weird from no one covering 2nd (I get that Nico thought Dansby wouldn’t get the ball) to Carson Kelly tagging out Duran at 3B
  6. 3rd time through the order, lost command, leadoff walk. Definitely want to get the pen up here
  7. 1 run on 9 baserunners in 5 innings blah edit: guess I was late lol
  8. I was worried Crochet would get through this inning with under 70 pitches but instead he has 80 now.
  9. That's 20 straight scoreless innings by the Cubs against the Red Sox
  10. Yeah im not liking his command at all this inning, especially against the bottom of the order. Has given up some hard hit balls today too. Edit: By no means criticizing the performance, just that he's gotten a bit lucky while in general pitching effectively. For instance the 3 hardest hit balls and 6 of the top 9 have been hit by the Red Sox and only 1 has been a hit
  11. that was probably a 5 star attempt, you just expect him to make those at this point and its shocking when he doesn't catch it
  12. That might have been gone if the wind wasn't blowing in yet again. Or if the CF tried a Peanut punch to jar the ball free. It's really weird that 2 years in a row we've gotten a significant percentage of games with the wind blowing in. Historically its split pretty evenly between out, in and crosswind.
  13. Couple of hard hit balls to end the inning. 108.1 and 109.2
  14. Damn, if Tucker doesn't bobble that, its a double play.
  15. Jed is on the broadcast and started by taking a moment to send a message to Ryno, praise him for all he’s meant for the Cubs, used a lot of past tense and ended it by saying something like “thank you for all you did for the Cubs organization” This comes after Ryno’s statement last week about cherishing time with his family and friends and Lester and Wood both wearing Ryno jerseys this weekend.
  16. Ugh Ryno is definitely on his last legs. So damn depressing
  17. Congrats to Turner for making the only batting out that inning.
  18. Just looking at last 30 days because it's easier but Busch has a .942 OPS and 162 wRC+ left handers over that span. That said its a 24 PA sample
  19. Since their 33-12 stretch began the Brewers have the best wRC+ against lefties in baseball. But the Yankees have the best wRC+ vs lefties for the entire season and Boyd and Shota both shut them down so
