  1. They keep suggesting PCA bunts for a hit but he has so much movement on his pitches I’m not sure how effective it would be. Worth a try L on L though I suppose
  2. Yep I've been wanting to give him a shot but I'm pretty much done with him. Cool that he's a good clubhouse guy but if he's our platoon guy against lefties it's simply not working. I'd keep him as a 26th man but not this role. BTW he did have a walk off hit for the Cubs so at least there is an on the field moment that you can remember.
  3. I wish we had pitchers like Valdez on the Cubs (outside of shota) Edit: he says as Berti of all people singles off him
  4. 24 pitches through 2 is sub-optimal for getting him out before the 7th or later
  5. Nice he got out of it without damage but 31 pitches is going to make it tougher moving forward.
  6. xBA on the last 2 outs of the inning: .680 (Seiya) .510 (Dansby)
  7. I'd get Suarez simply so he doesn't end up on another NL Central team to torture us the rest of the season.
  8. Not surprisingly the Brewers are up big to the Rockies so that 6.5 game lead will be down to 2 😞
  9. Realistically he should be a 5th starter or swingman and we can live with up and down performances but with Taillons recent form and Rea he’s needed for 3rd starter production. So getting blown up today means we’re in a 0-1 hole with Rea and Taillon the next 2 days
  10. Because the other guy the Cubs traded for Tucker is on pace for a 4 win season
  11. JR has made every indication that he plans to keep the Bulls in the family because they are a lot more profitable and they look at the team more as a business than a sports franchise.
  12. Not related to the game but lmao Carson Kelly has a 'wait wtf am I doing here?' look on his face 😂
  13. Cubs allowed 16 runs in the first 12 innings of this series and 0 in the last 23 innings
  14. For sure but weird time to say when Kelly is 6 for his last 12.
  15. Dammit Busch, I would have taken a GIDP there to get the run home. Edit: ok that accomplishes the same thing.
