  1. I’m still technically a Bulls fan and will always be because I find it weird and difficult to all the sudden be a fan of another team. So ride or die with the Bulls. The issue is, since I can’t switch teams, I’ve just been mostly ignoring the NBA the last few years because I don’t care to watch the Bulls games.
  2. Get Cashman very drunk and convince him the Yankees need Justin Turner’s grit on the team?
  3. Reminds me a little bit like 2008. Cubs had a big lead all year, Brewers came back and tied us (I think), just before a 4 game series in Milwaukee. Hope this series goes like that one (Cubs swept all 4 games)
  4. Not sure if there is a general trade rumors thread but this was posted 20 mins ago
  5. I believe this evens up the all time Cubs-White Sox series if you also include the 1906 World Series.
  6. I'm telling you I really don't like the L-L-R-L top of the order, especially when several of them are slumping. edit: and especially when the one righty in that part of the order is struggling the most.
  7. Wait he didnt pitch yesterday? horsefeathers nevermind haha We'll see how many pitches he throws in the 9th...getting through the last out of the 8th with 3 pitches is a good start.
  8. Kind of sucks...if Brasier gets out of this inning unscathed maybe they don't use Palencia. If they use Palencia, he's down tomorrow against Milwaukee
  9. As soon as Cohen and JD start talking about no drama from Brasier, all the sudden there's drama
  10. I think that's ultimately what will happen. Not a full sell off but some selling. A team like the Marlins has to be legit contending or in a decent position to contend to keep their guys. Otherwise, they are always looking at the long term outlook and looking for ways to sell high and build up prospect base.
  11. Brewers managed to get both Marlins runners out on the same pickoff play it sounds like to end the inning. Wtf
  12. Also about the Marlins, I wonder what they do at the deadline? They are 26-12 in their last 38 games if they win this game. 5 games out of the playoffs fine but do you want to sell when your team is playing like this?
  13. Did I hear the broadcast saying Marlins/Brewers was in the 9th? Pretty sure its only the 7th there.
  14. Stranding RISP with 1 out in each of the first 3 innings seems less than optimal with Brown on the mound.
  15. Such a good swing that went foul for strike one then the rest of the AB sucked
  16. Busch is 8-49 since his ridiculous series in St Louis with a 35% K rate. I think he’s had some bad luck because I seem to remember a few hard hit balls that were outs but would love to get him going again.
  17. I don't know why I just realized this, but with: -the ASB -6 game homestead coming out of the break -a day off -3 game series vs. White Sox -3 game series in Milwaukee -another day off -6 game homestead -yet another day off The Cubs are currently in a 25 day stretch where they only have to leave Chicago once, to Milwaukee for 3 days (close enough to technically sleep in their own beds if they wanted to). Of course I'm sure a lot of the team went somewhere else during the break, but cool little schedule quirk.
  18. Most likely you are correct. The downside of that is taxing your bullpen a day before a big 3 game series in Milwaukee.
  19. He better go hard. Even with those 2 back you still need a TOR pitcher. Not necessarily an ace but at least a 3. Especially when you consider innings walls that Boyd and Horton may hit.
