  1. Waste of a leadoff double by the heart of the order. Not sure why Dansby is swinging at that particular first pitch. PCA also swung at some bad ones but he's earned the benefit of the doubt with the pitches he's hit this year.
  2. Wow absolutely terrible strike 1 call on Seiya
  3. Looking at Shaw this year vs PCA last year The exit velocity for Shaw is horrifically bad, but his expected numbers look better than PCA's last year. Also surprising is despite looking like an excellent defender, savant doesn't seem to see him as one.
  4. "could end up with 50"? I believe he's on pace for 61 right now.
  5. Now I kind of wished Seiya got called strike 3 instead of ball 3 (obviously given the result). I really expected PCA to do something good there
  6. Happ should have been running there. Love the fight though
  7. I’d definitely sniff around but it’s hard to get what you are getting out of Shaw defensively right now so I’m willing to be patient with the bat
  8. He was 3-4 last game and an .830 OPS over his last 22 games, which I used arbitrary endpoints to try to make his recent stretch start at a point that makes his recent hitting look the worst. Fielding though...
  9. Not a Cabrera fan. Was gonna say it after the last game but the numbers weren't too bad thus far until now.
  10. Depends on how many innings Peralta gets through. Outside of PCA hitting a pitch above the strike zone for a HR he’s been pretty locked in. 47 pitches through 3, so probably on pace for around 6 IP
  11. Are they just gonna let Taillon eat it today and accept a loss? Even his outs are hit really hard xBA on the outs he’s gotten today: .150 .280 (GIDP) .590 .220 .490 .630
  12. I know we already got 2 back but pretty big hill to climb giving up 4 runs early with Peralta on the mound
  13. At this point hell no. He seems like a shoo in for an 7 win season at worst this year on a pre-arb deal and 23 years old
  14. Geez I knew Peralta dominates the Cubs, didn’t realize he had one of the lowest BAA for a Cubs opponent in the history of the franchise
  15. Feel like the Cubs go down early in every game lately lol
  16. On the plus side, one less game without Shota and Amaya
  17. Maybe, but the Brewers could really use this game. I’m guessing they’d rather pitch their better more proven pitcher who has historically dominated the Cubs and push their rookie back to Friday
  18. Seems like a solid deal for both sides. I’m happy about it.
  19. Also PCA’s catch had a 5% catch probability
  20. horsefeathers I meant Coors. Baseball Savant had that as a HR at every park except Coors. My bad. But yeah that does seem wrong since it’s 415 to dead center and that was nowhere close to dead center.
