lmao PCA seems like he was trying to force a throw to 3B and didn't have a plan for stopping if he actually beat it. Either that or he 100% expected a throw home and was surprised when the ball came to him at 3rd and didn't slide. Don't like another out on the bases but I'll take the nice hit and extra run.

Dansby is so bad with RISP, the Cubs were actually hoping he would GIDP and at least ge the run home. If it was 2nd and 3rd they could have gone home with the eventual grounder. Or he wouldn't have put the ball in play because that would have been a productive out with RISP.

I haven't looked up the stats but I'm guessing the Guardians are good at controlling the running game. They got him last night, they looked like they caught him leaning 1-2 times, they threw at the right times (like before the 2-2 to Dansby). He still probably should have went earlier but I understand why it might have been tougher than it looks.

Not sure how good the relievers in question are but the Guardians basically had the choice to face Dansby and Busch with a righty or a lefty and they chose the righty which is what I would prefer if I were the Cubs. Busch is 7th in baseball in wRC+ vs RHP this year.
