  1. horsefeathers you horsefeathering Max horsefeathering Muncy. Have fun in the AAA home run derby next year
  2. That settles it. The Cubs are the better champs of the last 2 years
  3. Damn now I wish the game was at an AL park. I would love to see Javy dong to lead off the entire game.
  4. I get people not liking his act or whatever as a fan but he seems like a manager that any player would love to play for. Forward thinking, acts as a players manager, does a great job balancing PT so everyone is fresh, puts young players in positions to prove themselves, would never throw a player under the bus, etc.
  5. This is quite random [bbvideo=560,315]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NMBBVS5bnU[/bbvideo]
  6. So glad Chris Berman doesn't do this anymore so I don't have to hear horsefeathers like "BACK BACK BACK ALL THE WAY TO ANNAPOLIS"
  7. I think his numbers will be tempered by him instinctively flipping his bat after every HR and then having to go and retrieve it
  8. Last year with how the Cubs ended the half and the fact that their only All-Star was Wade Davis I pretty much skipped all the All star game festivities. This year I am pretty excited to watch tomorrow and Tuesday. Hope Javy and Schwarber do better than Bryzzo in 2015
  9. Jeez Cain took an awful route to that ball. He might have gotten it if he read it better off the bat. Probably hard to too in the rain though.
  10. 5 ahead in the loss column is...pretty big.
  11. I like it. It’s a 5 run lead against a bad team but at the same time it’s sort of a high leverage situation for someone making their third appearance ever. Joe likes to throw new guys in big situations to see how they respond. I might have had a short leash for him though and pulled him after the walk
  12. Hah Pat and Ron have been talking up Lester’s bunting skills during both his ABs and both times he’s failed in his bunting attempts.
  13. Haha Brewers lose They blew leads with 2 outs in both the 9th and 10th innings If the Cubs hold this lead and win they will be 5 up in the loss column
  14. He’s a sad sad man. If this isn’t a shtick, I feed bad for him. Also his last one is hilarious if I’m reading his intentions right. The bullpen arm that we only brought up because CEJ is on paternity leave and is pitching to contact with a giant lead is getting hit hard so that means we need bullpen help (despite the fact that we have the 4th best bullpen ERA in baseball)
  15. Unreal Javy. He seems to have 1-2 ABs a game where he goes yard or almost does
  16. That wasn’t surprising to me. Rosario didn’t look sharp at all. Was surprised he wasn’t taken out after a batter reached in his second inning
  17. On second thought it was strange that Joe didn’t take the extra day of rest for Kyle after a 110 pitch game. I’m guessing Lester asked/was told to go Sunday so he can’t pitch in the All Star game but Kyle just does not look sharp today after such a dominating performance 5 days ago
  18. He seemed to figure it out more as that inning progressed. I was referring more to his pitch count which is now at 70 through 2.1 IP
  19. Trending like another game where we need 4 innings from the pen
  20. Since their 3-18 start the Reds have gone 40-34 with a +27 RD (would have looked a lot better without their 15 run loss this week), or basically an 88 win pace. Obviously they won’t make the playoffs but they’ve been playing like a playoff contender for almost half a season. Should they even sell any major pieces at the deadline or stay quiet and look to build on what they have in the offseason?
  21. The Cubs are the farthest ahead in 1st than they’ve been at any point this year
  22. Yeah, that’s why I still see this as a 35 win team. Defense will be atrocious. I’m hating the Lavine deal more and more now. He’s going to eat up quite a few possessions while being a giant negative on defense and were stuck with him for 4 years
