  1. Well that is a wet fart of an inning after the leadoff walk.
  2. The schwarber slump really upsets me. I was really really hoping he'd break out and be a consistent force this year.
  3. So annoying, one take away from having the lead with the bases still loaded and 1 out. Instead its probably inning over, 1 run on 4 hits.
  4. dammit that run is not going to score is it edit: happy to be wrong
  5. thats like 100 points higher than i expected
  6. I think Schwarbs is (probably rightfully so) scared of colliding with the wall. Anytime he has to go after a ball hit near the wall he seems to ease up or in general just botch the play.
  7. Hilarious that this kid is pitching his heart out, 1 run allowed through 5.1 IP AND has the team's only hit of the game.
  8. This team is so horsefeathering unbelievably inconsistent on offense.
  9. i hesitate to criticize Javy when he does anything on the bases but the potential benefit there is not worth the risk. Sorry Javy, you are awesome but that was a bad decision.
  10. Javy's shoulders dropped when he took ball 4
  11. I guess we are going to get a large zone today.
  12. They called it a double. hard to explain but it hit the top of a pole that supports the basket, just shy of the yellow rope that would indicate a HR
  13. If that's not called a HR, that's as close as you can get to hitting a HR without hitting one at Wrigley.
  14. If you throw it way outside 4 straight times, Javy just has to swing at 1 of them
  15. I will never get over how hilarious that play is. Dude looks like he's inventing a new dance move out there.
  16. It's annoying as hell that Bryant is just chilling in the clubhouse getting in the way of the 25 guys who are trying to win today. He should be out in Arizona rehabbing.
  17. [tweet] [/tweet] I don't know who this makes less sense for, the Brewers or the Reds
  18. Yeah...well...my small sample size is clearly far more meaningful than your small sample size! I dunno...he's not good...I just feel like he has a chance to do positive things on a semi-regular basis this year, where I didn't feel like that in previous years. The only thing hes really done positive over the last 30 games is timely clutch hits, which is great he seems to be better at that than others even though its really hard to prove clutch is a thing. But since you said positive on a semi-regular basis this year, here is his OPS by month: April - .734 May - .705 June - .873 July - .660 August - .644 If you simply remove the month of June, he has a .680 OPS the rest of the season, which is somewhere in between his 2016 and 2017 numbers. June is awesome and it shows that there is still potentially a better hitter in there, but he really hasn't done much of anything outside of that month.
