  1. Career minor league slash of .241/.336/.276/.611
  2. Hopefully we can end that pesky 27 inning scoreless streak against the VBs today
  3. Soooo back to right handed Jason Heyward then?
  4. Just for fun, run differentials since the ASB Bos +51 Cle +48 Oak +43 Was +37 STL +37 Ari +29 Pit +27 Atl +26 LAA +12 LAD +11 Phi +10 NYY +9 Tex +6 Hou +3 SD -6 Min -7 SFG -8 NYM -10 TB -12 Col -12 Bal -14 Mil -16 Sea -22 KC -22 Det -27 Chc-28 Tor -29 CHW -33 Cin -43 Mia -52
  5. Still 5 games behind in the loss column and only 3 more H2H games between them and the Cubs (last 3 games of the year). Defenitely more concerned than I was a week ago though.
  6. It’s still way more likely than not that there is much better play ahead but there’s a non zero chance that we are in a tailspin masked by success in one run games and a couple of timely homers that might take awhile to get out of
  7. For me it’s, we experienced a thoroughly dominant 2016 team that was young and hypothetically was not even in its prime so to see the last 2 years fall short of that domination is frustrating, especially with regards to our starting pitching where we are locked into contracts with 5 pitchers who have all been anywhere from ok to awful this year.
  8. I know the starting pitching is worse but the offense has been sneakily mediocre for a little while now
  9. Yes I know don’t post this guy. I can’t help myself
  10. Anyone have any more stats that show that Quintana has actually been solid and mostly what we paid for?
  11. Run differential for the last 23 or whatever games is -1 per game. They’ve been winning all the close ones and losing all the blowouts. That’s what lucky bad teams do. Oh, I agree. I just figured David would have numbers to prove otherwise. Yeah I’m pretty sure I read that their expected WL in the second half is like 9-15
  12. Good. Hopefully enough time to be a contributor week 1
  13. I feel like there has been way more midweek day games than in previous years but that can’t be right
  14. he didnt touch home either it's fine You can see his foot on home when he's down on the ground - I think it actually is a big deal if he doesn't touch the bases - there was a HR disallowed in a Braves post season game one year because of a missed base. You can see the 3rd base umpire wait until he rounds the bag before heading off the field, so he likely got 3rd too. Yeah I saw that on a later reply. I can’t see his foot touching 3rd but I saw the 3B ump specifically looking at the bag to make sure it was touched
  15. Almora got a double off Scherzer which duke basically told us would happen. That’s probably the biggest takeaway from last nights game.
  16. I just tried to calculate it but my desk calculator only goes up to 9 digits
  17. To make space, unfortunately Lester is now Batting Practice Pitcher Guy to Javy
  18. KB looked restrained in his smiles while hugging Bote
  19. I’m sure he did but watching the replay over again it doesn’t look like he touches 3rd base lol
  20. I mean that was horsefeathering destroyed. Best bat flip ever. Javy you better keep being max awesomeness because BOAT is right behind you
  21. That was the best trot around the bases in cubs history
  22. What are the chances Heywards OPS is below .700 by the end of the year?
