    I'm actually a little surprised...looked it up and we only have 7 losses (if we lose today) in games where we were leading in the 5th inning or later

    That ball had so much spin that I want to give him a pass but that has happened too much this year. His defense has been an arm and not much else lately, IMO. yeah im not blaming him, just pointing out the bad luck that led to Votto getting on.

    Cubs have a 890 OPS with RISP and 2 out, third in the league. Just a .240 BA which is 16th. What are the numbers on this homestand? We've lost twice this homestand. Once where we took the lead on a 2 out hit and lost due to the ump not calling a check swing properly. The other we were down 7-0 in the 4th inning and still managed to score 7 runs. I've been out of town this week so only seen bits and pieces so maybe they've not gotten hits with 2 outs but I don't think that was the main reason for either loss.

    I'm fine with giving him all the time he needs but yeah it would certainly be nice to know if he's coming back next week, next month or not coming back at all.

    Every day we don’t improve the pen it hurts our chances of winning the division. Theo talked about urgency starting in April

    It's not overly uncommon for a starter to get hit hard his 3rd time around the order. But is a little weird when he completely dominates the first 2 times
