I also don't know who we could sign this offseason to be the closer for like 2/$30 mil that would be better. It’s really like 2.5 years $45 mil so while technically &15m a year it’s really more like $18 mil

    The last time Trout played at Wrigley: [bbvideo=560,315]https://www.mlb.com/video/edwards-jr-strikes-out-trout/c-1036540083[/bbvideo] (not sure how to embed video from MLB.com) I remember that series because it was in the middle of our dominant August stretch and it just seemed like we could do no wrong, had limitless potential and Carl was a piece of the bullpen but not at all relied upon to be a setup dude or closer.

    It's certainly easier to find a good bat for the OF than at C. That said, would a .740 OPS catcher with elite pitch framing be more valuable than a .900 guy who causes actual physical pain when watching him try to frame pitches? Also how does controlling the run game play into that which I believe Contreras is supposed to be really solid at?

    There have been studies out there that show that not only does Coors help hitters at home, but it hurts their numbers on the road too. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-cant-the-rockies-hit-outside-the-rockies/ Look at DJ LaMahieu's numbers this year with the Yankees. Career .681 road OPS but .827 this year now that he joined a normal team.
