  1. This bullpen sucks. Sign Kimbrel already you bastar- oh wait
  2. Welp I found a roster spot for Kimbrel to take
  3. Kintzler never lets inherited runners score right?
  4. I don't love it, but hey, no loss of draft picks and it's not my money (horsefeathers the Ricketts). I also don't know who we could sign this offseason to be the closer for like 2/$30 mil that would be better. It’s really like 2.5 years $45 mil so while technically &15m a year it’s really more like $18 mil
  5. I know its a pipe dream and who knows if Morrow is even alive much less in line to return but how awesome would this set up be in October: 9th - Kimbrel 8th - Morrow 7th - Strop 6th - Cishek
  6. Wait the Brewers are losing 15-0 to the Marlins?
  7. A high walk rate is less cool when you strike out looking in all the other PAs
  8. Good news is that Hendricks looked great that inning except the warning track fly. Hopefully that continues
  9. horsefeathering BABIP bullfucking horsefeathers. This should have been a 1-2-3 inning. Instead we’re losing
  10. Revenge series? I know, I also forgot the Cubs played a playoff game against this team 8 months ago
  11. I know you draft guys know this already but crazy the DBacks have 6 of the first 75 picks. Their draft budget must be gigantic
  12. Nice way for Willson to break an 0 for 20 stretch
  13. Lester doesn’t seem like he has much left in this inning
  14. Nice graphic by WGN making Rizzo look comparable to Trout with those stats. (not that Rizzo sucks, just that Trout is sooo damn good)
  15. The last time Trout played at Wrigley: [bbvideo=560,315]https://www.mlb.com/video/edwards-jr-strikes-out-trout/c-1036540083[/bbvideo] (not sure how to embed video from MLB.com) I remember that series because it was in the middle of our dominant August stretch and it just seemed like we could do no wrong, had limitless potential and Carl was a piece of the bullpen but not at all relied upon to be a setup dude or closer.
  16. It's certainly easier to find a good bat for the OF than at C. That said, would a .740 OPS catcher with elite pitch framing be more valuable than a .900 guy who causes actual physical pain when watching him try to frame pitches? Also how does controlling the run game play into that which I believe Contreras is supposed to be really solid at?
  17. There have been studies out there that show that not only does Coors help hitters at home, but it hurts their numbers on the road too. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-cant-the-rockies-hit-outside-the-rockies/ Look at DJ LaMahieu's numbers this year with the Yankees. Career .681 road OPS but .827 this year now that he joined a normal team.
  18. Yeah seriously, our OF is desperate for guys who can put up an .830-.850 OPS
