  1. 1 for his last 21 and 3 for his last 35
  2. Coomer has called him Addy like 4 times in the last 2 mins. Abusers don’t get cute nicknames
  3. horsefeathers you russell. I decline the runs
  4. To add to that, according to my quick google search 'inappropriate marital conduct' means:
  5. Point taken about expansion. There would have to be something built in to account for that. I don’t to eliminate the draft but I’d like a system where in order to get a superstar you dont have to tank and still get very lucky. If you can find a system that accomplished that I’m all for it. At least in my idea you know that regardless of record, every 5 years you are getting a top 6 pick. You don’t have to sit players out with phantom injuries, or trade away useful players to bottom out. You just wait 5 years and you’ll get your 16.7% chance. If it’s stupid to make complex draft reform that’s fine but I think my idea somewhat makes sense and accomplishes the objectives I mentioned.
  6. None taken. Why?
  7. I typed up this suggestion for NBA Draft reform on realgm and no one really bit on it. To me this makes so much sense to completely kill tanking yet still give teams not only a fair shot at getting a top pick but the ability to anticipate years ahead of time when you will be getting a top pick. Similar to the "Draft Wheel" that Simmons always talks about but adds a luck factor into it. I would put it in 5 groups of 6 teams, and within those tiers you have a mini lottery to determine your pick. Example: Group 1: Milwaukee, Phoenix, Toronto, Dallas, Philadelphia, New Orleans Group 2: Boston, Memphis, Indiana, Minnesota, Brooklyn, Los Angeles Lakers Group 3: Orlando, Sacramento, Detroit, Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte, San Antonio Group 4: Miami, Oklahoma City, Washington, Utah, Atlanta, Houston Group 5: Chicago, Portland, Cleveland, Denver, New York, Golden State The groups would rotate each year and teams stay grouped together Example: Group 1 gets picks 1-6, Group 2 gets picks 7-12, Group 3 gets picks 13-18, Group 4 gets picks 19-24, Group 5 gets picks 25-30 And then the next year group 1 moves to the back, and Group 2 has a shot at 1-6. Then within the groups there is a lottery to determine draft slots. Because I'm a nerd I am going to use a random number generator to show how the draft order would look with my sample groups 1. Toronto 2. Dallas 3. Milwaukee 4. Philadelphia 5. New Orleans 6. Phoenix 7. Minnesota 8. Boston 9. Indiana 10. Memphis 11. Los Angeles Lakers 12. Brooklyn 13. Detroit 14. Charlotte 15. Orlando 16. San Antonio 17. Los Angeles Clippers 18. Sacramento 19. Miami 20. Utah 21. Oklahoma City 22. Washington 23. Atlanta 24. Houston 25. Chicago 26. Portland 27. Denver 28. New York 29. Golden State 30. Cleveland
  8. Did we get duped by a hot streak yet again? .193/.304/.318/.622 over his last 25 games and his season OPS has dropped to .793. Could just be a slump but it seems like we see a couple of Heyward surges every year that get us excited that this is the year he is going to bounce back and then he falls off a cliff. Ultimately its fine just give us a .720 OPS, no more completely disastrous years like 2016.
  9. I look at picks 3-9 (mostly) as players that have superstar upside but low floor so I'd be happy if it was Garland or White. Heck I wouldn't even be angry with Reddish I don't think.
  10. I mean, if we’re talking about most likely outcomes... We have no idea so its stupid to introduce a thread talking about his divorce by implying that he cheated on her.
  11. I'm honestly scared to find out more about this Zobrist divorce situation. I cannot take another World Series hero being a horsefeathers.
  12. FWIW (nothing) its actually the 2nd worst possible outcome, although the chances of 4 teams jumping the Bulls rather than just 3 was pretty tiny. 7th pick was actually the 2nd most likely pick for the Bulls to have ended up with statistically (after the 6th pick)
  13. There it is [tweet]https://twitter.com/sonranto/status/1128614019366117378[/tweet]
  14. Could see NO taking Zion and then trading AD to Knicks for 3rd pick, Knox and maybe a future pick and then take Barrett
  15. This is exactly what the NBA wanted. A few low odd teams moving up. Teams are less encouraged to tank. Waste a whole season of losing and end up with the 7th pick again
  16. Hendricks live ERA has dropped to 2.98
  17. Also it looks like if the rotations hold to form, next Monday at Wrigley will be Yu Darvish vs Jake Arrieta ugh
  18. 18 of the Reds 23 losses have been by 1 or 2 runs. They have the second best run differential in the division at +30. Not quite sure how good that team is yet.
  19. Just for fun, Maddon era Cubs standings through 38 games 2016 - 28-10 (1st - Up 7.5 games) 2019 - 24-14 (1st - Up 2 games) 2018 - 21-17 (4th - Down 2 games) 2015 - 21-17 (2nd - Down 4.5 games) 2017 - 19-19 (3rd - Down 3.5 games)
  20. Super happy for John and even more appreciative of what he did for UM Basketball program which was in dire straights before his arrival. I am gutted though. I thought after he didn't end up in Detroit and signed a contract extension UM didn't have to worry about losing Beilein until his retirement. Program will take a hit, but hopefully they can either get someone like Brad Stevens (lol) or just hire Yaklich internally. Damn :(
  21. 9-0-1 in our last 10 series. The one split was a 1-1 against the Angels where the 3rd game was snowed out
