  1. 4 run lead with our ace on the mound, what could go wrong? 😂
  2. Do you? Interesting....I was going to say that data is available real time so easy to quickly challenge but I seem to remember challenges having to be initiated immediately by the batter or catcher, not from the dugout. I could be wrong though.
  3. Bad ump. If they implement ABS challenges next year, if they limit it to a small number of challenge a game it would be a shame. From what I've seen, the challenges are instant. It would be stupid to not challenge that strike 1 call on PCA when it was so blatantly outside (and now strike 1 to Kelly) because Counsel wants to save his challenges for later in the game. I'm not saying you have to do unlimited challenges but 2-3 a game doesn't seem like enough.
  4. Not to be the fun police but the Cubs scored first in each of the first 2 games also lol
  5. It's definitely worth a try. I was resistant to trying 5G thinking it had to suck, but it's been really good for me. I switched to Verizon 5G for internet and DirectTV Stream for cable, get all the necessary sports stations and save about $60 a month over what I was paying for Xfinity.
  6. He'll do something noteworthy I'm certain. There's no reason not to...they are clearly one of the better teams in baseball, but also clearly have some glaring holes that can be fixed with players available, and they have enough of a prospect pool to swing something, especially if its someone they can control beyond this year. Also while I'll rip on Ricketts all day, they clearly have some leftover payroll flexibility, not even including the extra payroll that he was granted specifically for Bregman.
  7. I hate that this is an afternoon game. Now I'll be distracted all afternoon and if they lose it will suck. If they win I'll just feel more relief than joy.
  8. Robert Murray reported Houser went to the Yankees too, but now saying it was a mistake lol
  9. Hmm, I guess I'm lucky. About 3-4 years ago those were my only options too but its really expanded with 5G
  10. I don't think they have a monopoly on internet anymore do they? In my area we have Comcast, U-Verse, Google Fiber and companies like Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T have a 5G Home Internet option. I switched to Verizon's option when we ditched Xfinity finally and have had no change to my internet. Can stream multiple TVs, play online gaming, use our cell phones all while WFH with no lag.
  11. He was 6-12 with a 1.500 OPS in his only career series in Milwaukee before the trade so maybe? What's wild is that even with this ridiculous 15 game stretch he still has a -1.2 bWAR for the season. He was one of the worst players in baseball this season with the White Sox and now he's playing out of his mind.
  12. The home/road splits are as a Brewer. Small sample size but damn
  13. If Happ has to miss a lot of time I wonder if it increases the Cubs pursuit of Suarez. Move Tucker to LF, Seiya to RF, Suarez to DH and Shaw stays at 3B
  14. Obviously Jed knows so much more about baseball than me but Neris and Pressly both had poor peripherals the prior season and lacked the ability to miss bats. I get that they were both good at one point but I don’t know why we made them both prominent acquisitions. Pressly especially because we had to trade for him and guarantee him the closer role to start the year for him to accept the trade. no more bad Astros relievers please
  15. Sure this was already mentioned but the great news is Porter Hodge gave up 4 ER in 0.1 IP at Iowa.
  16. Ever since Giannis shoved Dunleavy and the Cubs surged ahead of the Brewers to win the 2017 NL Central its been all Wisconsin over Chicago to the point where kicking a game winning field goal in a meaningless game to improve to 5-12 is a high point for Chicago over Milwaukee the last 7 years or so.
  17. I know that it's not an effort issue or whatever, but I really really wish they could have played better the last 2 nights for Ryno. Just a gloomy depressing start to the week for the Cubs.
  18. The Cubs are averaging 6.7 runs allowed in their last 9 games. Guess we shouldn't be surprised they are 3-6 during that stretch.
  19. I thought our pitching was bad but they pitched well enough to lull me into a false sense of security. Don't get me wrong, I knew we needed multiple new arms but I was confident enough about how they performed to be caught off guard when they were suddenly terrible.
  20. I wasn't going to watch this game to avoid being in a bad mood, and I caved and now im in a bad mood
