    Assad has been a better pitcher imo over the last 3 season IMO. Not by a ton but enough to be definitive. Though the point about rusty is valid. Just saying other options are coming without even considering the deadline

    FWIW Assad is starting to pitch in rehab games and I thought Taillon was initially expected back mid-August.

    Ideally it's either Shota, Boyd, acquired starter, Taillon, Horton or Shota, Boyd, acquired starter, Taillon, another acquired starter. Rea does give up a lot of line drives but he's useful as a swing guy. Keep him stretched out for multiple inning appearances and maybe spot starts to keep guys like Boyd and Horton sharp

    Brewers up 5-2 now. They took a one day break and are back to being unstoppable. Castillo had a 1.46 ERA in his last 4 starts but has given up 5 R in 3.2 IP so far today.

    It's not that weird....last year there were 7 deals completed to this point and 60 deals completed after. This year so far there have been 4 deals.

    Yeah I think its one of those things where you remember the times we don't take advantage, but not the times where we hit 5 HR against the Mariners or 8 against the Cardinals.

    Since Javy was brought up, this is driving me crazy. I remember the long running meme about Javy not recognizing crappy players on the Cubs but I cannot remember the origin of the meme. Please someone remind me of the situation/who it was. Unless I'm having a Mandela Effect moment.
