  1. I know he missed a month with injury but Shota's numbers (at least the basic ones like ERA and WHIP) are better than last year
  2. Good motivation for Shota here getting Pressly warming up
  3. Damn got the righties out but then got 2 straight weak contact singles ugh
  4. Got through most of the heart of the order a 3rd time too
  5. Keep it going. Can never score enough with the wind blowing out
  6. And Brujan has a .493 OPS vs RHP this year
  7. Probably because they were 6.5 games behind us when their run started it’s kind of like the end of 2018 again. The cubs (obviously) aren’t playing bad but the Brewers are unstoppable
  8. 3 hits and 0 runs in 8 innings so far tonight. The brewers are virtually unbeatable right now
  9. FYI the Brewers series starts a week from Monday. Cubs play at home vs KC and then on the South side next weekend before heading up to Milwaukee.
  10. Not sure but I did see on twitter that Luke Little is with the Cubs this weekend but not called up at the moment. He could probably give them 2-3 innings if they go that route.
  11. Believe the Cubs have a club option on him for next year for a small raise over this year
  12. Always felt like he had the makings of a closer if he could figure out his control. He clearly has that control now and looks elite.
  13. With the Crochet vs. BP game looming on Sunday, feels good to take the first one. Lets win the series tomorrow.
  14. Kind of feel bad for him... he's given up 2 ER in 22.2 IP since that 8 run blowup game, and people still perceive him as a potential tank commander for a historically bad team haha. I mean I still don't trust him either and his FIP suggests some luck (2.77 since that blowup vs. 0.79 ERA) but he's been fine imo, at least in terms of results
  15. Not that the Sox don't have some really good hitters but pretty nice to not have to worry about a Devers coming up here.
  16. 107.3 mph and 98.5 mph. I think it's more where they were placed.
  17. Something I wonder... correct me if I'm wrong but Pressly agreed to waived his no trade clause to go to the Cubs only after the Cubs gave him assurances that he'd be closer. He was obviously to start the year but was demoted and doesn't seem like he has any shot to regain the role (as we see another ball smoked off of him to bring the tying run up). Doesn't matter anymore but I wonder if he's upset that he was so quickly pulled from the role and not getting it back.
  18. Seriously its hilarious that the ball boy inadvertently showed the umpire up even though he technically should have seen the umpire pointing fair lol
  19. Yikes, come on bro how you gonna touch that ball? Edit: nevermind the ball boy was right?!, very astute of him!
  20. That's fine....as we've talked about a ton lately, keep hitting it like that and it will even out.
  21. Regardless of ballpark. The wind is blowing E to W right now so directly in at RF. Probably a HR on a neutral day. That also makes it more of a cross wind going to LF I think, but maybe in just enough to affect some of the other batted balls
  22. Happs double is a HR in 27/30 parks. Makes up a bit for Seiya's HR being a HR just at Wrigley. Edit: also not a HR at Fenway and Coors.
