  1. Definitely what you want to see in the 3rd inning of game 1 of a DH against the greatest team in baseball history.
  2. Caissie made that a little scary but nice grab to save 1-2 runs. Really wish Horton's scoreless streak wasn't broken by an inherited runner scoring.
  3. We still cool with QB School breakdowns?
  4. Jed said on the score this morning that mechanical adjustments due to his finger injury have likely contributed to his poor hitting of late.
  5. tallion was not called up today. Assad went to Iowa, Luke Little called up and Gavin Hollowell will be the 27th man. Strange
  6. Ugh Booker left the game with a knee injury. Hope he’s ok
  7. Terrell Smith just tore his ACL. You could see it immediately. Ugh
  8. I barely listen to broadcast teams but Greg Olson’s competence shines through from the little I do listen to.
  9. Oh man look at that move after the catch by Burden
  10. No but that kid continues to impress
  11. I forgot about Burden. The weapons are endless
  12. I’m starting to turn into Kyle with my Tory Taylor dislike
  13. All the weapons except Rome contributed there. Have a feeling Caleb won’t be out much longer if at all now. What a beautiful drive
  14. Sure and I'd like Kyle Tucker to hit a HR every time he comes up, but neither is going to happen. Assad is going to allow baserunners, the question is whether he can continue stranding them at historic rates. Probably not, or at least not consistently, but he has over 300 MLB IP in his career now and still seems to be stranding a high number of baserunners so its worth asking the question IMO. It seems like the Cubs are maybe asking the same question...I don't even think he had a locked in roster spot before he got injured this spring so clearly they have some questions about his ability to perform as he did the last couple years.
  15. He keeps maintaining a historically high strand rate. There is enough of a sample size at this point to wonder if it's possible that it's sustainable.
  16. If the Brewers go .500ish the rest of the way (20-19), the Cubs need to go 28-11 or better to win the division (assuming they win 3 of 5 against the Brewers in the upcoming series)
  17. The Cubs have gained a game on the Milwaukee Brewers for the first time since Obama was president
  18. I thought for sure when he got to 2 strikes he was either striking out or rolling over on a grounder
  19. OF COURSE its a rare ground rule double to prevent the go ahead run from scoring. horsefeathers hell. Cmon Nico edit: I mean Dansby...smart move Pirates
  20. at least PCA is looking much more competent out there
