  1. There's no going back to Mitch. Tyler Bray is the future now. It doesn’t matter either way because the offensive line is so bad there is no way the offense can improve with the QBs on the roster. This team will never have a good offense
  2. Ok I’ve seen enough. Bring back Mitch for shits and giggles. How do you make that pass?
  3. Im sure we will fare well against the Saints on a short week or the Titans run game
  4. The last Bears game that was this brutal to watch was that Giants game where Cutler got sacked 20 times
  5. Refs seem really out to get the Bears today
  6. The Bears have played 10 quarters of football against the Rams over the last 3 seasons. They’ve scored 25 total points lol
  7. Wow how did he not see that ball. That’s a guaranteed 3 points possible 7
  8. In the pregame I read that the Rams really struggle against pass catching RBs. Number of pass attempts to a RB tonight? 0
  9. Another kickoff unable to get past the 20
  10. How many missed tackles today? 10?
  11. 4 third downs, 4 passes behind the sticks
  12. This is the worst I’ve seen the Bears defense play in awhile. They are really confusing them
  13. Wow Kmet is a beast
  14. The Bears defense has absolutely gotten destroyed those first 2 possessions. They look completely unprepared for what the Rams are doing.
  15. Terrible offensive possession there. Bears have had 2 third downs and both plays were to Patterson several yards short of the 1st. I get that there is constant pressure but roll out or something
  16. Despite getting 5 points from Zeke, 0.9 points from Mike Williams, and another 4 points from my TE (every single week this year I've started a TE that has given me 4 points or less except the 9 I got from Engram in week 2), I somehow broke my 19 year old league's weekly scoring record with 227 points. Standouts include Kyler (43 points), Adams (45 points), James Robinson (29 points), AJ Brown (26 points), Tyler Boyd (22 points) and Todd Gurley (19 points). The funny thing is, this is a 1 QB/1 Superflex league but our league scoring makes it so 99/100 times it makes more sense to start 2 QBs (the average QB is projected to get around 20 points, the 4th string RB or 5th string WR somewhere around 9-11 points). I had Lamar Jackson on bye this week and still shattered the record (for the record I started Ronald Jones in the superflex spot) Just had to type that all out because no one cares about my fantasy team lol
  17. I’ll take the fantasy points from Gurley but man that’s awful
  18. Eye test he doesn’t look like he got in. The very tippy tip of the ball may he broke the plane and that’s enough to stand with the call I guess since it was a good conversion on the field Edit: btw the debate on Twitter along with the zoomed in grainy pictures “proving” without a doubt that he was in or he wasn’t in remind me a lot of the JT was short play in UM-OSU a few years ago (JT was short obviously).
  19. If 2018 is recent past he started 5 games and had a vastly better YPA (7.2 vs. 5.8 this year), completion percentage (72 vs 62) and QBR/Rating. Small Sample size, but he was also coming off the Super Bowl run the year prior where he performed like an elite QB. He was not actually an elite QB mind you, but the numbers he put up were elite. 2 years is a long time and the 2018 numbers wouldnt really constitute a very good QB but if he was performing at that level in Chicago this year it would make a big difference moving forward. Don't think he will for various reasons but he's probably capable of playing better than he has thus far. Didn't he more recently suck in Jacksonville? He went to the most talented team in the league at the time and helped them win a Super Bowl, but it was hardly his doing. He famously pretty much stunk until getting hot in a couple playoff games. I would say his level of performance with the Bears is pretty much on par with expectations. There's just not a lot to go off of either way. He was great in Philly with a much better supporting cast. He was terrible in Jacksonville with a broken collar bone and worse supporting cast. In both situations we are talking very small sample sizes. I'm not arguing that we should expect him to play better, just that I believe he has the capacity to play like a slightly below average QB rather than a bottom of the barrel QB, and that incremental improvement could make a difference in the outcome of the Bears season.
  20. when? Foles current production is his basic level of play for nearly his entire career. And stat wise to date, guess who's outplayed him? Trubisky! That's not really true...his career averages across the board are noticeably higher than his numbers this year. He's been an extremely streaky QB over the course of his career though so the averages don't tell the full story I guess. When he's been bad, he's been god awful.
  21. I would like to hope there is room for improvement with the offense. Maybe he is in decline or maybe its the talent around him but Foles has performed much better than this in the past, even in the recent past. when? Maybe he is in decline or maybe its the talent around him but Foles has performed much better than this in the past, even in the recent past. The line sucks, Montgomery is maybe average and the play calling is not balanced enough, so there will always be a ceiling. But if they were the 16th best offense instead of the 26th? Those 4 point wins will become 10 point wins. But this is basically the same circular conversation we've had our entire lives as Bears fans "If the offense can just be a little better we will be a good team"
  23. Someone posted this on Reddit. Not sure if we knew yet how much Comcast rates would go up yet.
  24. Granted I only skimmed this but is this committing to an all out rebuild? Doesn't seem like they are going to be trading off Kane and Toews at this point based on the wording but i could be reading it wrong. I'm fairly ignorant to the typical team building of a NHL org. I know a guy like Toews has fallen off a lot, but a guy like Kane... does it make more sense that he sticks out a rebuild and becomes part of the next core, or is dismantling every last piece that can get value the better way to do it? I am also fairly ignorant but it does seem like hockey players decline a bit slower than other sports. I think Kane is fine to keep as a piece for your next run. Toews actually had a pretty decent season I believe...certainly not at his peak but he's a solid piece still and continues to bring things like defense and winning faceoffs. Now should both be available in a full rebuild? Sure, but my point is that Kane and Toews won't necessarily be too old to be pieces in a future contention window.
