  1. Would be funny to see them blow it yet again but a if they are going to win a WS, finally winning it in this weird neutral field COVID season is the next best scenario
  2. Sure I’ll take an Eagles/Bears playoff rematch
  3. The Bears have a +12 point differential, 6th best in the NFC and 12th best in football. I doubt their below average DVOA will improve much based on today’s result. So they are still playing like a slightly above average team. But there is room to improve IMO. Although the Bears have an average at best QB, RB and line, I still think there is a better offense there than we’ve seen thus far. Just don’t know if they will be able to unlock that higher gear. Sorry the above post seems pretty negative. I am legit excited about the start and in a year with no great teams - at least in the NFC - why not have hope that the Bears can win the conference?
  4. I was told the Bucs weren’t that good since the Bears beat them
  5. I think you had the right thought process. GBs offense has been devistatingly good so far and like they said on the broadcast this is Rodgers first 2 INT game since 2017.
  6. Tonyan just went limping off the field, all but assuring me that I’ll get 3 or less points from my TE position for the 5th time in 6 weeks
  7. Do you mean the pass on 3rd down? I’ll have to go back but I think that throw to Robinson was good enough to be caught. I don’t want to be that team who can’t do anything but run three times to burn the other team’s TO’s. They’ve got to complete the passes but I like the pass call. I was in favor of the pass last week against TB that everyone torched and did not at all like the pass today. The difference is the lead. In last weeks game they were down 2 at that point and playing conservative would have led to a 1 point lead (which is what happened anyways). Getting that 1st gets you closer to FG range and let’s you run off considerably more time. Also I think it was 3rd and longish do you probably aren’t getting a 1st running. In this game the Bears had a 7 point lead so the worst the Panthers can do is get the ball back and tie it. Giving them 1 less timeout to go the length of the field makes more sense to me. Plus it was 3rd and 2 at around midfield and they just managed to get 8 yards on the previous 2 plays in an obvious running situation. I think it makes a ton more sense to run there regardless of whether they convert or not
  8. Bears now 5-0 in the NFC and have H2H wins over the Bucs and Panthers, 2 teams they may be competing with for a wild card spot. Really good position at this point.
  9. Technically correct although that drive lasted 1 play lol. 5th time in 6 games the opponent had the ball with under 2 mins left driving to tie or win. Bears are now 5-0 in those games. If you can’t be good, be lucky. Bears need to go 4-6 the rest of the season to make the playoffs most likely. That’s good because the schedule gets much much tougher after this and I haven’t felt great about any game the Bears have played yet lol
  10. Are you kidding me Nagy? Jesus
  11. Tired defense trying to hold on again
  12. We’ve seen this before. Nagy goes into a shell trying to hold onto this lead and rely on a tired defense that just completed a long and back breaking drive
  13. Holy horsefeathers that was a devastatingly [expletive] call. You can’t horsefeathering call that on 35 yard passes. Singlehandedly allowed them to score 7 there. Unreal
  14. This might be one of the more undisciplined games I’ve seen from the Bears in years and somehow they are up 2 TDs entering the 4th quarter. This feels like another game where the Bears are trying to prevent a game tying TD on the final drive
  15. Just racking up the potential game changing errors now
  16. What in the horsefeathers was that?
  17. It wasn’t until last week that the coaching staff had any faith in Santos. He looked rough early on and the staff was not letting him kick from more than 43ish yards. I think he’s clearly won the job and they will cut Pineiro once he comes off IR
  18. Foles is playing really well. That last pass to Kmet was great. He could have thrown it to him for a 2 yard gain but he continued scrambling and then led him with the pass to a 10 yard gain. Not a crazy play but Mitch would have made the last as soon as he saw Kmet open and may or may not have overthrown it
  19. Good stuff. Yeah if the Cubs managed to have an above average staff with what they put out there, I’m not too concerned about next year either. Focus most of your attention on fixing the offense.
  20. I mean horsefeathers, thats a solid team. Could obviously improve at TE (though I'm on the Tonyan train too...I've literally gotten 19 total points from my TE position this year (thanks Engram x3, Geisicki, Schultz) so I hope hes the answer) but I'd ride it out. There are like 3 reliable TEs this year so if you can figure out a trade for one of them, that would certainly give you a competitive edge most weeks I thought I had bad fantasy luck but that's terrible to be 1-4 with that team.
  21. I hate Dempster the person but he actually had some good insights IMO when he was subbing as color man. That said, I hate the 3 man booth
  22. The shitty part about the NBA and NHL finishing their seasons is that we’re about to go on another no daily sports gap. Hopefully college basketball starts up on schedule so at least there is that during the week. It will be nearly a calendar year between Bulls games when they actually get on the court again lol
  23. Same. Don’t know how successful he’d be running behind the Bears line especially with the Daniels injury but obviously be an upgrade over...whoever the Bears backup QB is (Patterson I guess?)
  24. The Bears are the kings of good bad teams I guess:
  25. I could be wrong but I don't think so. It doesn't sound like Marquee is going to air a postgame show, and they already announced the host of the weekly recap show is one of the dudes already working at Marquee (name escapes me). I don't think NBC Sports had any sort of exclusive right to air Bears-related shows since there are Bears recap shows on NBC and Fox (and maybe elsewhere) on Sunday nights.
