  1. Oof, Illini might have to face KenPom #9 team in the second round plus have OK State in potential S16
  2. Strange flex since they both are. Stop making me dislike the Illini. I caught myself almost rooting for Ohio State today and had to remind myself that I generally like the Illini and I hate Ohio State. Being an innocent bystander in this Michigan hate fest by Illini fans is frustrating since I just want to enjoy my team
  3. I feel like 2 out of 3 years I start this with the best intentions of finishing and then something comes up and I leave you high and dry. Either way I think I agree with the majority of your choices, looks good!
  4. We’ll see. While livers is their best player it’s also the position they have the most depth to replace. The CBS guys are saying this injury occurred early in the Illinois game which would help explain why Michigan has not looked as dominant since that game. Livers has mostly been standing in the corner and getting burned on defense. Maybe replacing him with Johns and Brown has UM play at a level between their early year dominance and the mediocre 2-2 record since then. I’d take the Illini tomorrow and feel confident about it but I wouldn’t called Illinois-Iowa the effective championship game. We’ll see though UM may get blown out right now and then this looks stupid edit: Nevermind that was a putrid performance and they are clearly missing livers ugh Do not understand, why not go to Dickinson? EJ Liddell is literally pissing the game away, I'm certain he'd done something stupid had Dickinson got the ball. Smith clearly is not your best option U of M. That is the discourse on Michigan forums right now. Mike Smith is a solid shooter generally but he shot 1-11 today. They waited too long for the ball screen so while they got the mismatch down low they couldn’t do anything with it because the clock was running out, resulting in the step back 3. Crushing but I’m happier about the game than I would be if they wilted away after being down 13. OSU shot lights out, got virtually every loose ball in the game while Michigan was missing Franz for most of the second half and still only lost by 1. I think they showed enough to keep their 1 seed even if Iowa or Alabama win their tourneys. If a blowout loss was their only point of reference for a post-Livers Michigan I would have been at least a little concerned that the committee dropped them due to the injury a la Kenyon Martin Meanwhile Ohio State had horrific collapses 3 straight days and survived them all. Horseshoe stuck up their ass
  5. Iowa favored over the Illini? If so, that's OK, for fuel for the Illini fire, with the injury to Livers, this may be the effective championship game. No slight to U of M but, Livers is their best player and, unlike the Illini without Ayo, Wolverines have a quick turn around without their best player. We’ll see. 6. Rumor is Isaiah Livers has a stress fracture in his foot and is out for the season. Michigan’s leading scorer and senior leader...
  7. This guy has posted "reports" before. Not sure how accurate they are but hes been talking about russell and just tweeted this:
  8. Juwan Howard ejected from the Michigan/Maryland game. Trying to work so I didnt see why but there was a bit of a scuffle between the 2 teams which JH was right in the middle of Edit: Illinois fans will like this https://twitter.com/bcampb292/status/1370436147927781385
  9. West Virginia loses 3 of its last 4, albeit to Baylor and OK St twice. I think I underrated Oklahoma State on my seedings. They should be a top 4 seed easily
  10. They're still in but they will be sweating out a first four appearance at least a little bit. I was 100% expecting Michigan-Michigan State Part 3 tomorrow
  11. lol I decided it wasn't newsworthy enough....got flashbacks to finding little pieces of info about like brian roberts. i should have kept it, thanks for reposting
  12. I saw something about how Draft kings took down the odds for Wentz and Stafford the day before their trades went down and the Russ odds were taken down today. Is that what you are talking about? If it happens amazing but I’m not really getting my hopes up. Seems way too good to be true and I’ve been involved with way too many obsessive transaction watches that haven’t panned out. Lot of smoke around this, but all speculation right now. Betting sites taking down Wilson trade odds. Also, a couple have increased the Bears SB odds slightly (likely more due to Robinson getting tagged) Josina Anderson tweeting "Welp" and logging off Twitter for the night a few hours after tweeting about how the Bears HAVE to get a QB Apparently Akiem Hicks and maybe Anthony Miller unfollowed the Bears on Instagram or some crap. Hicks would be a potential cut or trade candidate to clear some cap room. Which could also be unrelated to a trade as the Bears have to cut like 18M more to get under the cap by next week. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk I’m so sick of the “unfollowed team on social media” speculation. 99% of the time they never followed the team to begin with or are doing it just to troll fans

  14. Well then I'm a complete moron. I was wondering why it was all Bigs at the top. Well then in my brief search Barttorvik only has offensive rating for players not defensive rating so nevermind
  15. Next 10: Having a hard time reconciling NET rating with their "Nitty Gritty" team sheets for some of these teams. For instance Houston, 2-1 against Q1, not so great SOS, doesn't even look like they are blowing many teams out. But they are 6th in NET. Villanova is also super hard to place due to their injury situation, and I know the committee takes that into account. I thought everyone was overrating Purdue because I haven't caught a lot of their games, and the one game I did catch Michigan destroyed them at Mackey, but they have built up a really solid resume
  16. Yeah, the official all defense team was baffling. At least Frazier made it. Ayo as POY...it's tough, because Ayo had a completely bonkers year in a conference where Garza had an even more bonkers year offensively (how often does the highest usage player in the conference also take the most shots and have the highest offensive efficiency? Just crazy), so Garza is going to win those awards, but it ended up more interesting than it was anticipated to be at the start of the year. That UM article points out that in 5 of the last 7 years, the team with the best kenpom defensive efficiency in league play has not had a player named to the all-defensive team. Seems odd, but I get that there are teams that play great defense but may not have a singular standout defensive player. I have no idea if Barttorvik's "DR" statistic is reliable, but he allows easy filtering by conference play so here is where the all defensive team ranks based on his metric: Frazier - 76th Morsell - 58th Henry - 43rd Wheeler - 7th Johnson - 1st So I guess its good they got the top guy in there?
  17. Still hurts, even though we've beaten App State in both basketball and football since that infamous game. But I'm sure the media will eat it up
  18. Top 10: Bottom 10:
  19. “Just pick the right guy” is good advice but if he doesn’t pick the right guy you likely punt a few years trying to see if he is the right guy, then you use another 1st anyways. I’d rather just take the sure thing. If they suck due to lack of assets around Wilson at least they’ll be entertaining bad instead of the bears usual unwatchable bad.
  20. if its not too late ill do this later today
  21. They came into today 25 in NET ratings (12th in KenPom though that doesn’t matter) and have 4 Q1 wins. Look at the resumes of some of those first 4 out teams and...yeah
  22. Michigan is clearly a great team, but I tend to agree with you. As an Illini fan I wish Michigan would have been able to complete their schedule so we didn't have to debate the league champ. Just gives Illinois a chip on their shoulder to go out and win the big ten tournament which I believe they will do, assuming Eli Brooks is out. Would have been good to get a rematch and I would have welcomed it, but not now lol
  23. I was against the whole “Illini co-champs thing” had Michigan won today but since they lost I accept it. Finished 2.5% lower in winning percentage, won H2H, and finished 0.5 games ahead in the standings. Hard to argue with certainty that Michigan would go 3-0 in their makeup games. Either way this week hurt as a Michigan fan to go from looking nearly invincible to getting our teeth punched in on Tuesday and then losing to arch rival today though both losses were understandable to some degree. worse yet Michigan lost 2 starters to ankle injuries today so will have to hold my breath and hope they are ok
  24. For $130 you can get all MLB teams. As opposed to having to buy a whole package with Marquee included. I already use the radio package with MLB. if you happen to have t-mobile phone service, you should bet getting an mlb.tv sub for free, just FYI. the sub would start on march 30th. Just want to thank T-Mobile for buying Sprint. This is such an amazing perk.
  25. I don't hate the team. I'm just not sure they've done enough to change the dynamic of the offense just has gone into several long swoons the last few years. Certainly will be better than last year assuming Javy and KB bounce back though. In a way though, with expectations a little lower I think I may actually enjoy this season a bit more as they have a pretty good shot to exceed those expectations if things go right.
