  1. Wonder if they will consider Wrigley since we’ve been trying to get one for years and aren’t currently on the calendar. Though I’m not sure I want it in a year where it may be like 50% attendance
  2. Cubs last 6 games at Wrigley Field: 1 run, 3 hits 1 run, 5 hits 0 runs, 4 hits 1 run, 4 hits 0 runs, 5 hits 3 runs, 2 hits Overall 6 runs, 23 hits over the 6 games.
  3. Good teams in the past could do everything but get sac flies. The only thing this team can do right is sac flies
  4. Is it just me or did that Duffy flyout to Polanco start to look eerily similar to his walkoff dance play a few years ago? He started to stumble a bit
  5. At least we got 2 sac flies today wait wtf Matt Duffy is a Cub?
  6. season* We will be the only team whose players actually suck more in their walk years.
  7. amazing how the game speeds up again when the cubs start batting
  8. No wonder the Cubs cant hit. The tops of these innings take so long hitters need a rehab start in between ABs
  9. I'm only kind of watching on one laptop monitor while working but every time I look over a Cubs pitcher is throwing a ball
  10. Though I will say that if they let the leadoff man on in every single inning of the season, it will not be good for their prospects of winning the World Series
  11. So many posts I want to make about this game but I really dont want to overreact to the first game of the year.
  12. Not sure if tinyface is vaccinated but stay away from Sogard dude.
  13. The first 2 Pirate batters have reached in all 5 innings, and in the one of those innings the first 3 batters reached
  14. Just one game, though everyone seems to be waiting for Kyle to fall apart since basically his MLB debut
  15. Not sure if I agree with the new pitch lab strategy to let the first 2 guys of every inning reach
  16. He's a pro, he'll figure it out quickly
  17. Don't worry we can survive a bad start from Kyle, we've got....some other guys behind him in the rotation.
  18. Roy Williams is retiring. Going to be interesting to see the dominoes that fall with that job open.
  19. I remember when I couldnt sleep the night before opening day. Now I'm learning its opening day an hour after I wake up. Will be great to see people in Wrigley. Go Cubs
  20. I mean, George is right. Like I said, I'm not a fan of it, I just couldnt help but take a cheap shot about the Bears being the only team holding up "progress". Good for them for taking a stand
  21. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31172380/sources-chicago-bears-voted-17-game-season Sounds like the Bears voted against the 17 game season and may have been the only ones? I'm not a big fan of the 17 game season but leave it to the old fashioned stuck in the mud Bears to be the only ones voting against progress. (sorry i couldnt help myself)
  22. That was easily one of the 3 most painful non-Cubs related sports losses in my life. Ugh
  23. With the schedule moving to 17 games, how many years will it still take for the Bears to get their first 4,000 yard passing and/or 30 passing TD season?
  24. Except for the fans that want to watch Marquee on a multitude of streaming platforms
