    If it makes you feel better, my perception is that the Cubs are starting to be like this with the pitch lab taking lesser regarded pitchers and turning them into decent or even good pitchers. At least for the pen. The jury is still out regarding guys like Trevor Williams

    The Royals have 43 hits this season in 4 games. The Cubs have 18 hits in 5.3 games. The Dodgers have 76 hits in 6 games. I know im beating a dead horse here but thats crazy

    And this lineup is somehow horrible They've been BABIP'd really hard. Coming into tonight a .155 despite being 6th in the league in exit velocity. I'm not too worried, though I certainly don't think it's a great lineup anymore. “anymore” implies it was a great lineup recently

    I think the "some reason" is because we all say he's taking a dump when he's gone. But if it was IBS, I think the regularness of it being the 5th inning wouldn't work. I think he just has it in his contract that he gets the 5th inning off to eat or do whatever he needs to do to make it through the game. I know he's had multiple surgeries for legions on his throat, so maybe his vocal cords just need that break, but I don't think he takes additional breaks during long extra inning games so who knows.

    *grumpy traditionalist rant* UGH - looks like MLB is going to start mimicking the NBA and start having teams wear quirky uniforms with unrelated color schemes. I don't mind it once in awhile but its like every time I turn on an NBA game these days the teams are wearing different colors.     Cubs ownership situation aside, I wonder why the MLB is so resistant to give Wrigley an All Star game. I get that capacity issues might have played a role here but still, the Cubs have one of the most storied parks in the MLB, the second longest drought between ASG (since Dodger Stadium is hosting one very soon and the other is Oakland) have been trying to get a game for over a decade, and just completed a giant renovation project. Frustrating, I don’t remember 1990 and have always wanted to see an ASG at Wrigley 4 teams have hosted or will have hosted the ASG twice since the last Wrigley ASG. 2 of them in the same ballpark

    pretty much the only thing I can remember from Games 3-4 of the World Series is Grimm getting that DP to keep the game scoreless
