This is my heart speaking but lets just keep the big 3, I'm not ready to part with any of them. I catch myself hoping they dont get traded even though I know that its likely for the better.
I still can't believe that he admitted, in a rape trial with him as the defendant, that he could not define the word consent. That says everything you need to know about Rose.
I havent really paid attention to him lately. He's had a lot of team success in his career but always seems to be a on shaky ground with his teams. But at the same time he beat out Robin Lehner for the starting job in Vegas so he must be decent still. I would have rather focused on a younger goalie than waste resources on him but Stan seems to be set on contending immediately or die trying (more likely) Edit: Didnt realize he won the Vezina last season (even though he was basically benched in the playoffs)
Strangely enough, on the Reds forum they are focused more on Garrett being a jackass and getting what was coming to him than hating on Baez (though there is that too). They all seem to think Javy will be suspended for taunting based on past precedent. https://www.redszone.com/forums/showthread.php?121533-Amir-Garrett-Suspended-7-Games/page11
Reading some comments on an A's forum about this trade and I would say 75% of the fans thought they gave up way too much. And their respected prospect guru said this about Deichmann:
FWIW, Oakland had the 26th rated farm system coming into the year. I don't mind the move though, maybe we caught a guy on the upswing and he can contribute in the majors right away. I like the idea of getting some guys who are close to the majors.
Bumping because this week may be pretty tough for us. Remember all the awesome moments in 2016 when times were (a lot) better! I'm only at #80 but there are several I had mostly forgotten about.
Every time I feel nostalgic about these guys and sad about them likely being traded they do crap like this. Individually there are several solid hitters in the lineup but for some reason when you put them all into a lineup wearing a Cubs uniform, they turn into a bad offense
Same could be said of OU. Money talks. And if this is indeed the first domino towards superconferences they won’t have much choice. That’s a fair point. With the expansion of the playoffs I don’t guess it matters as much if you lose a game or two. Let’s be honest, SEC is getting a minimum of 3 teams in every year but probably 4.
Second City Hockey…does not like the trade. Also apparently Seth Jones is a pretty big Trump supporter In related news, the Jones brothers are on their way to Wrigley to throw out the first pitch today. Can’t make this stuff up. https://www.secondcityhockey.com/2021/7/23/22591151/chicago-blackhawks-stan-bowman-seth-jones-trade-regretful-move-adam-boqvist-columbus-blue-jackets
Yes this is my take I think. It’s a lot to give up IMO and it doesn’t turn the Hawks into a playoff team by itself (maybe if Toews is back to where he was). 3 players make up about 40% of the cap now, is that normal?
It may have taken like 8 tries and it comes way to late to help us but at least Jed finally fixed the backup catcher problem. I feel drawn to these games just basically because every game could be the core's last.
