  1. It's like you don't even read my posts :(
  2. This should be good...
  3. I'm not sure what you mean? The Bears are going nowhere this year. I'll take games where Fields looks great the rest of the way over games where he looks like crap and everyone else looks good. Clearly there is a lot more needed than the QB and the Bears are far away on both sides of the ball. It's just that when the QB situation is settled, everything else because a lot easier and we can actually build a balanced team around him instead of allocating 70% of the cap to an elite defense that can get you to 10-7 and a first round playoff loss at best.
  4. This MNF matchup is so depressing that Manningcast has decided to have a bye week for this game, so there goes 3 hours of the Mannings ripping on the Bears to liven up this one. Steelers are coming off a big win over the Bengals to move to 4-3 but are actually selling off players before the deadline. The Bears will probably add because they are buffoons but we'll see. Steelers are not that great and their QB is a decaying corpse that cant throw accurately more than 5 yards downfield. This will almost certainly be the last time the Bears play against Roethlisberger, and they've had some solid success against his Steelers teams, going 3-1 against him. The one loss was in 2005 against Kyle Orton in the snow. The wins were in 2009 in Cutler's first home game for the Bears, 2013 on MNF during their hot start in 2013, and Mike Glennon's only win as Bears starter in a game I have no recollection of in 2017. Nagy will probably be back so it will be interesting to see if Feilds doesn't run nearly as much in this one Steelers -6.5
  5. George McCaskey take notice Actually Virginia McCaskey take notice
  6. Ok I’m sold on it being an impressive game. Sorry sometimes box scores don’t do justice even with 100+ yards rushing
  7. lol at everyone here talking about a sell off when you know Pace is going to make a reckless move to buy. I mean I know a lot has changed since then but like a month ago they traded a 6th for a kick returner who is a FA after the season
  8. You guys (the ones minimizing the best Fields game of the year) are the ones who even mentioned Trubisky. Nobody is acting like Fields doesn't have flaws. You are arguing against nobody. We also aren't going to do the thing where we act like Fields playing a good game is bad. He played very well today. Maybe the best game of any rookie in this class has played this year (read this on Twitter, haven't seen Daniel Jones much). It doesn't mean there's no looking back and he will continue to linearly get better each game......which is absolutely fine because literally NOBODY is saying that. I couldnt watch today but Mac Jones has looked really good in a couple of games I’ve watched. I have a hard time believing that Fields has a better game based on the stat line but again I didn’t watch so
  9. Football is a stupid sport anyways
  10. They can control their own fate by beating Penn State and Ohio State right? Beating Ohio State would save him but…not going to happen. It would legitimately be the most shocking sports occurrence to benefit a team I root for in my life
  11. That’s gotta be the end of Harbaugh
  12. Stupid horsefeathering referees. 4 different 50/50 reviews go MSUs way and then a blatant PI on 4th and game to lose it
  13. I had a feeling it was going to be really bad when I saw the initial reports. Definitely not a good thing but this can turn into a chance to improve at the PF position with a move at some point. While its brutal to miss a year of development, it gives the Bulls a chance to find someone who can bring some size and experience to the front court for this season and it gives a team that is trying to gel less to focus on as they don't also have to also worry about developing a young raw player as a starting PF on a team built to win. Though its ridiculous the trend of bulls injuries over the last decade. Seems like we always get a couple of brutal ones each year.
  14. Almost reverse jinxed it
  15. Feel like the Bulls just got out coached tonight. They seemed to know exactly how to beat our defense and then their lack of size was exploited for the second straight game. This stretch could be rough but hoping this is just a bad matchup. Feel like if we get through these 14 games over .500 that would be a good thing Edit: if the bulls win this was a reverse jinx attempt
  16. Listening to Zach Lowe's podcast interview with Jo. Lot of interesting nuggets from that era of Bulls basketball. You can tell Derrick's injury still bothers him as he asked to change the subject after a couple of minutes of discussing it. For the summer of 2010, he tried to call LeBron and he didn't answer, but he talked and met with both Bosh and Wade and was convinced that the Bulls were getting both of them, and then possibly LeBron if the other 2 went here. Still frustrating how we got played, though I still really enjoy and appreciate that scrappy Bulls team with Booz and the bench mob which wouldn't have happened if we were the evil empire with Bosh, Wade, LeBron, Rose, Noah, Deng and Taj. Of course I'd take the evil empire and winning every day but oh well.
  17. Good news for USMNT https://twitter.com/jff_football/status/1453775849526861825
  18. People are still saying Nagy or whoever needs to call more max protect plays. Guys he's calling max protect plays. Fields is still getting drilled in under 2 seconds. Here's an example:
  19. All the feels
  20. horsefeathers man. I really wish I didn’t read those quotes, especially Toews’ words. horsefeathers horsefeathers horsefeathers
  21. So Fields is the worst QB they've graded? I'm sure there is some snaps qualifier they use since there have been more than 34 QBs to start a game this year. In the link I sent Andy Dalton has a grade (a pretty damn good one at that), but no ranking since he's only played 1.5 games
  22. It's not a thing for me, its just oddball behavior from a weirdo coach.
  23. https://theathletic.com/2913589/2021/10/27/the-bears-are-calling-offense-for-a-quarterback-that-justin-fields-isnt/?source=user_shared_article Good article with film breakdown of Fields interceptions and fumbles on Sunday. Same conclusions like Fields needs to get better at sniffing out the defense but he's in a very difficult situation with little margin for error. Also covers some of his good plays where you can see him reading the defense accurately and making the right decisions.
  24. If anyone is interested in PFF grades for the season to this point, this dude on reddit has compiled them: https://old.reddit.com/r/CHIBears/comments/qgxtsa/pff_grades_post_week_7/ You can use the link to look at the actual grades but here are some interesting position ranks: Fields - 34/34 QB Byrd - 120/120 WR Herbert - 2/65 RB Montgomery - 12/65 RB Damien Williams - 16/65 RB Mustipher - 35/36 C Jason Peters - 8/78 T Vildor - 82/112 CB Shelley - 92/112 CB Jaylon Johnson - 69/112 CB Houston-Carson - 3/87 S Tashaun Gipson - 83/87 S Eddie Jackson - 69/87 S Ogletree - 86/86 LB Roquan - 45/86 LB Goldman - 117/120 DI Hicks - 37/120 DI Tevis Gipson - 17/110 ED Quinn - 27/1110 ED Mack - 32/110 ED Santos - 9/40 K O'Donnell - 6/36 P 12 position groups listed (outside of special teams), Bears have a bottom 4 graded player at 6 of them and a top 10 player at 3 positions.
