I think it's TBD if theyre a package deal. I could easily see where Pace is back, in which case I'm sure he'll have full authority to make a move at HC, and I'm sure he would. It's just hard to envision any scenario where Nagy is back. Whether they wait it out til the bitter end or not though, is unknown. Yeah I think this is right. Nagy is gone, short of some miraculous turnaround the second half of this year. Pace is certainly not on the most solid footing, but if it looks like he got it right with Fields he probably sticks around. Lets talk about this miraculous second half for a second. It's not going to happen but... Bears get an extra week off before playing the Ravens at home. Lets say they win that in an upset due to being at home and extra rest. Then they go to Detroit and win. Now they are 5-6. The next 2 are against GB and Arizona. Probably lose both but lets say they split and are 6-7 with some momentum. Their last 4 games are against sub .500 teams after a ridiculously difficult gauntlet in their first 13. I believe its vs. Minnesota, @Seattle, vs. NYG, @ Minnesota. I guess the counter would be that Minnesota is probably the best 3-5 team we've seen in years...they are actually 11th in DVOA. And while Seattle has some holes they will have Russ back and Seattle is always difficult to play. So yeah they are most likely going 5-12 but there's still a small window with improved play lol. What a ridiculous beast of a schedule this year.
