  1. Duuuuudeee wtf Was listening to ESPN 1000 tonight and Bleck and Abdalla were saying they weren’t pro player or pro owner but their arguments were all pro owner and dogging the players for not settling, trying to refute the point that players careers are finite by saying that being an MLB player gives you a leg up at getting another job when your career is over and then mentioned Shaq’s Papa John’s franchises as an example as if every player is rich and famous. Just don’t know how anyone with half a brain can be pro owner in this debate
  2. The funny thing is that if what he’s saying what true he would have been out of a job a few years ago
  3. It was reported earlier this week that they would just lop off those series and play the rest of the schedule but I guess that could change if it was only a weeks worth of games cancelled.
  4. am i missing something? it says first 2 series Yeah you are missing my terrible reading comprehension. Ok just @ Cincinnati and vs. St louis
  5. Cubs will lose: 3 @ Cincinnati 2 vs. St. Louis
  6. Women's tennis, A10 basketball and the same 4 documentaries they've been running since launch. Oh and the Wrigley Field/Ricketts slobfest
  7. I always figured it was a possibility given all the labor strife the last few years and the fact that the last 2 CBAs have been extremely owner friendly. The players association was always going to look at this as their stand.
  8. it just sucks that the owners are cartoonishly evil and not even a villain in denial or anything. They know they know they are greedy fucktards and they just don't care
  9. Oh go horsefeathers right off owners
  10. How much da bum are we talking about here? Or saving that for its own episode? Cant wait to listen
  11. This might actually happen sweet
  12. My first thought was “thank god” My second thought was “wtf somehow they tricked me into being relieved that were getting a 12 team playoff” My third thought was “Crap it’s Nightengale which means 14 team playoff confirmed”
  13. After 12 hours of sessions today:
  14. Keep in mind they don’t have Lowry tonight. Ball and Caruso make a dramatic difference in our defense but it’s hard to say we’d win a game like this with them back. Then again the defense is atrocious and from the pieces I’ve watched today they look like they’re just standing around and not moving the ball. Desperate need of defense and playmaking Also, Zachs knee has to be bothering him. He looks like he’s really lacking explosion out there
  15. I know we aren’t whole and all that but man you’d think even just occasionally we could act like we belong on the same floor as these good teams. Hopefully we put it together in the 2nd half
  16. I mean it sounds like the players have already caved significantly and the owners are not budging at all or at least not bridging the gap in any meaningful way.
  17. Disappointing result. We’ve had too many of these “get manhandled by a good team and then come back late and fall just short” games Bulls are 3-13 against the 5 best teams in each conference. We’ll get a lot more chances to turn that around before the end of the season
  18. Ridiculous. horsefeathers the owners
  19. Yes. And before that he used the same exact playbook with the Expos and Montreal told him to piss off (but in French). He’s one of the biggest assholes in baseball history
  20. lmao Poor owners losing money with their billion dollar franchises.
  21. I feel like DeRozan would have to be averaging 35 points on 60% shooting for the season to be the same as Lee in 05. But it makes sense. DeRozan has been a star caliber player most of his career. He’s shot over 50% for the season before. He’s averaged 27+ ppg before. But he’s never done both in the same year.
  22. Tristan looked really solid, Ayo locked down Trae Young again (14 points on 3-17 shooting!) and DeMar was DeMar at the end. Next 5 games are extremely difficult so glad to get this W tonight
  23. Interesting that the Bulls used their bi-annual exemption to sign Thompson (gives him about 225k more and possibly the reason he chose the Bulls). In the offseason that would have been worth $4m....IF the Bulls actually decided to go over the luxury tax. Either the Bulls thought they had to have him so made an aggressive move that will hurt them in the offseason, or they do not anticipate being able to use that BAE this offseason as it would put us over the luxury tax. Neither option is great but hoping its the former.
