Lately, it seems, teams with early exits from the BTT have performed better in NCAA, leaves you to wonder the utility of the BTT besides it being a money making venture. Wouldn't be shocking at all to see the Illini and other teams that lost early in the BTT go further in the NCAA than Iowa or Purdue. I think its just an unrelated trend. Indiana played their 4th game in 6 days last night and won. Michigan won back to back Big Ten Tournaments playing 4 games in 4 days in 2017 and 2018. They were a shot away from the Elite 8 the first time and went to the National Championship game the 2nd time.
