  1. OK this is a pretty good bad beat..... I was up 2.38 points entering the 4th quarter playing the Rams D. In the first 4 minutes of the quarter Rodgers was sacked (2 points) and Aaron Jones fumbled (2 points). A Packers TD would have taken 2 points off their score to give me a 0.38 point win. Rodgers leads a 7 minute drive to get the ball down to the 4 yard line. 4th and 2 with 2 minutes left, he hands off to Aaron Jones, who gets the 1st and brings it down to the 1 yard line. Then Rodgers takes 3 knees and my season is over. 1 horsefeathering yard short. ONE YARD.
  2. Well Leonard Floyd and Aaron Jones ended my fantasy season unless the Packers can come back and score nothing less than a TD
  3. Funny reading other fans (from other teams) opinions on Fields. They've basically determined that Fields is a RB playing QB and that he sucks at passing and needs to drastically improve to stay in the league. I get it the volume isn't there right now but if you've actually watched Bears games this year you'd understand why the volume isn't there and could clearly see Fields improve as a passer over the past 5-6 weeks. I won't argue that he still has room to improve if he wants to be an elite passer, but I've long since stopped worrying that he's never going to develop into a good QB. He's already a good QB and slowly becoming a elite QB. Also with regards to passing volume look at his longest runs in each game. Almost all of them are coming from broken passing plays that are forcing him to run. I don't see him necessarily scrambling too soon in many of them either. The Eagles actually did a really nice job at stopping his designed runs yesterday but they got burned when he tried to scramble.
  4. he doesn't make THAT big of a difference. the beginning of last season was mostly a mirage where we kept winning with demar magic at the end. we'd still suck with lonzo, i think. right, we were unsustainably good in the clutch, and that has done an almost literal 180. We also played the easiest schedule in the league in the first half and the most home games in the league in the first half. Adding to that - the Bulls had almost a completely new team. Only LaVine and Coby White were on the roster at the start of the previous season. We caught teams off guard early on but once there started to be a book written on the Bulls they became easier to solve. All that said, I do still think Lonzo has a larger impact on the Bulls than he would on most teams due to the absence of high volume 3 point shooters on the team outside of LaVine, and the fact that the Bulls don't really have enough starter quality distributor/PG on the team. Then you add in the fact that he's one of the best on-ball defenders in the league and you realize that he solves a number of the biggest issues with the current team. Are they the best team in the East with Lonzo? Hell no. Are they safely in that 7-10 seed range with him? Probably. Either way, signing an off injured player like Lonzo and putting almost no depth behind him is quite the decision.
  5. Those drove me nuts as I alluded to above. Williams did almost nothing all game, and the only outcome he could do damage is if the Chargers allowed a TD, the Titans didn't go for 2, and they had enough time for a last drive or got the ball in OT. Of course the Titans scored, kicked the XP and left enough time for Herbert to throw 2 long passes to him. I'd have roughly a 90% chance of winning had the Chargers D stopped them rather than the 57% chance I have now.
  6. I know this is usually a hated idea but can we maybe go back to golden goal? Maybe instead of 2 15 minute periods, you do a single 15 minute period and then golden goal for the next 15 (or 30) mins. Though looking at this World Cup that would have only affected 2 of the 5 games to go into penalties so it doesn't solve the "issue" of PKs. All that said, I don't mind pk's. I'd rather it just keep going until someone wins, but doesn't seem feasible unless you allow more subs or the crazy idea of letting people sub back in after the match gets to a certain point.
  7. Well after all my bitching Barkley showed up and I’m up 10. My opponent has the Rams defense and I have no one. Defense is fairly high scoring in our league (mainly 2 points for a sack) so it’s a coin flip (Rams are projected to score 9 points). I don’t think I’ll be able to stand watching lol
  8. Well that was awful. I was up 4 until about 10 minutes ago. Here is what happened: -Opponent has Conner, Brady and Mike Williams -Cardinals were down 3 scores with like 4 minutes left. Of course Conner on the ground gets the garbage time TD -Bengals could have played conservative and come close to running out the clock. Instead they throw for a TD and give Brady enough time to score a garbage time TD -Chargers up by 7 late, they get a defensive stop and Mike Williams can’t do anything. Instead they give up a late TD and then have enough time to give Mike Williams 50 yards receiving in the final minutes. Go from up 4 to down 11. I have Barkley left, opponent has Rams defense. Not gonna win
  9. Yeah...the Cubs really need a lot more power than they currently have. Swanson is solid but basically replacing Contreras's power. Hope that Seiya can amp it up next year. Bellinger will hit HRs but unless he recovers from his swan dive not going to provide enough consistent power. Right now either Morel or Madrigal is our projected DH I think. Mervis is probably the projected DH as of today I think. Hopefully we’re still adding Drury, Segura or Anderson for 3B and Aguilar, Belt or Hosmer for 1B (with some DH work for any of those names and Morel/Wisdom rotation around as well). That seems like a competent infield. Yeah could definitely be Mervis, though I'm hesitant to put him in projected lineups until he actually makes the MLB roster. I know the Cubs are high on him but may consider starting him at Iowa for reasons.
  10. Fields' QBR today was a subpar 40.2 which surprises me. Does taking sacks play into that rating? Fumbling but not losing the fumble? I thought he played a fine game overall. Took 6 sacks but will be interested to see how many of them were on the line and how many on him. No dangerous throws that I can remember though he mostly stuck to short passes today. Had those 2-3 inaccurate short passes which has been a problem for him (but not really as much lately). Still some stuff to clean up but solid performance against an elite D
  11. Ok well that's much worse than the hundreds he cost me. But still sucks none the less. Where the horsefeathers is Davante Adams btw?
  12. Conforto is kind of the last shot at a big bat, unless you think Mancini is.
  13. Sanders - 1.4 points Freiermuth - 0.0 points Cowboys D - 8 points Butker - 1 point Started Pacheco while opponent started McKinnon, adv them. I'm still in it but Davante Adams isn't doing much and Brady decided to have the game of the season so far against a good D. Picked up Waller but didn't start him because he just got off the IR. Waller has a TD Freiermuth didn't get a target I don't think. AJ Brown had an excellent game but was stopped inside the 4 yard line twice. Fields stepped out at the 9 negating a rushing TD. I just needed to vent. I'm basically going to be in a position where I need Barkley to have 25 points tonight to have a shot and he hasn't been good in weeks.
  14. Can we blame this on Santos for missing the XP, which caused the Eagles to go for 2, making the refused FG attempt the difference in the the game? Or do we absolve him because we saw Elliott miss a gimme FG later on?
  15. That last brown catch gave me a 5 point bonus for going over 175 yards. Had to resist pumping my fist because it cost the bears the game
  16. Make that 2 TD Heroic horsefeathers coming back in
  17. Fields 10-16, 98 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 100.5 QB rating. Really wish we could get him more passing attempts but it just wasn’t happening with the Eagles pass rush and no WRs of note
  18. Velus Jones another strong candidate
  19. We should keep track of tank MVP. Santos directly cost us the Eagles game, likely cost us the Packers game, and his missed XP and refusal to kick a makable FG is the difference in todays score. He’s gotta be up there
  20. Everytime a team gets the ball in the 2 minute drill and you know they are getting the ball to start the 2nd half I think “well they could score 14 points before the other team touches the ball again” and it almost never happens that way. But today it has (minus the non-Bears possession in the last 30 secs)
  21. Bears D is killing my fantasy week with Brown and Sanders. And they wont win anyways lol
  22. What the horsefeathers? Santos can’t attempt a 48 yard FG??
  23. And now Jenkins is being carted off. 4 plays and 3 commercials due to injury
