From what I've read, ND is trying to get a raise in their next TV deal with NBC, and NBC sees the Big Ten as having games before and after the traditional 2:30 ND game. The article I read implies this is leverage for ND for some reason. I doubt ND is suddenly joining the Big Ten, but 2 months ago I would have told you its impossible USC and UCLA would join the Big Ten lol Edit: But thinking about it, the Big Ten will now have the following networks to potentially broadcast games: Fox, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network (and BTN2, BTN3...), NBC, Peacock, CBS, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+. There's certainly the infrastructure there if they want to expand to 16, 18, 20 teams and I don't think its an accident.
