  1. At this rate, he'll break it today Do it today or it doesn't count. He did miss a game so it would still be 16 games at least lol Edit: just realized Lamar only played 15 games in his record breaking season
  2. At this rate, he'll break it today Believe he’s 87 yards away now
  3. Looks like Fields might have a shot at Lamar’s record after all
  4. Great tank worthy PI
  5. They are going in a way that extracts the most amount of pain possible from me for some unknown thing I did in the recent past. That ending should ease the pain a little bit. Now I’m just regular miserable instead of apocalyptic miserable. That was a hilariously bad miss though
  6. They are going in a way that extracts the most amount of pain possible from me for some unknown thing I did in the recent past. Stroud’s just increasing his value so the Bears get max value back on their trade down. Feel better? 2.75% better
  7. They are going in a way that extracts the most amount of pain possible from me for some unknown thing I did in the recent past.
  8. This is having 2010 Bears Packers parallels for me. Win the division but ultimately the arch rival wins the title
  9. The last time I was this gutted about a sporting event was the 2003 NLCS. This is really bad.
  10. Michigan outgained TCU in the first half and had 4 scoring opportunities to TCUs 2. But are down by 15 at the half because they got 0 points from 2 situations with the ball inside the 2 (also Wilson scored a TD, that was complete BS) and threw a pick 6 I’m done with sports for awhile if Michigan can’t come back. Maybe opening day
  11. Most Iowa way for Iowa to end the season. 1 offensive TD, 206 total yards, 21-0 win
  12. Hilarious until I remembered that those wins allowed OSU in the CFP
  13. Ahh yes, Joe Milton aka Michigan’s starting QB to start that disastrous 2020 season. Problem has always been accuracy but seems like that’s improving
  14. RIP Pele
  15. I don't know but its insane. I am assuming at least 1-2 of those contracts may turn out to be bad but they have so many locked up long term that they can afford to miss on a couple of them.
  16. I guess another reason to consider a trade down to get more immediate assets. One of the talking heads on Twitter, might have been a Sun times guy was saying the Bears would have to have a roughly 80% hit rate on moves this offseason to contend for the playoffs in 2023. That may ultimately be right. We’ll see
  17. Just for fun, let’s say the Bears were able to swing a deal for 2 additional first rounders and all 3 first round picks were mid-round. Starting in 2018 here is a best case and worst case scenario if the Bears made all 3 picks: Best Case: 2018 - Minkah Fitzpatrick (11th) 2019 - Jeffery Simmons(19th) 2020 - Justin Jefferson (22nd) Worst Case: 2018 - Josh Rosen (10th) 2019 - Andre Dillard (22nd) 2020 - Austin Jackson (17th) I understand the love for Will Anderson and also understand the risk of drafting a bust in the first round. I still lean towards making a trade but I can understand the logic behind drafting a transformational player
  18. Trying to think whether a short term high AAV deal would be considered intelligent spending given the circumstances. On one hand it’s taking advantage of circumstances to get a premium player at a great value. On the other hand whatever this injury is was enough to scare 2 teams.
  19. Can’t see it being the Cubs. Too close to the LT now I think
  20. I’m so torn on the decision to play him or not. While possible, the chances of him suffering an injury that affect him beyond this season are relatively very low. And I like the idea of getting him more reps (provided the playcalling actually allows those opportunities). On the other hand, a non-zero chance of tearing his ACL for otherwise completely meaningless games where he’ll be throwing to players who he won’t be throwing to in the future and being protected by a decimated line of marginal NFL talent. I guess laying that all out I lean towards sitting him
  21. Brb, searching last years thread to see who really wanted Hackett on the Bears (please don’t be me) Edit: ok gflore34 comes out the best as he said Hackett should be a hard pass. UK had Hackett as his number 3 choice, raw had Hackett as his number 2 choice and someone named UMFan83 had him in his top 5 candidates in no particular order list. Not clowning on anyone, I don’t think anyone could have predicted what a disaster he was.
  22. Not sure if anyone was tracking Máximo Carrizo but doesn’t sound likely he chooses the US per his father: Interesting that he responds to a comment referencing Gio but not sure that was the intention to imply anything.
  23. Interestingly enough this exact scenario occurred in 2013 with the Eagles (many will already know what I'm referring to). The Eagles had the Bears on Sunday Night football in Week 16. The game was completely meaningless for the Eagles as they needed to win their week 17 game to make the playoffs, and the game against the Bears would not have any affect on anything. The Bears had everything to play for as they needed to win one of their last 2 games to make the playoffs and wanted to avoid a win and in game against the Packers in week 17. Well Philly came out and beat the Bears 54-11, then won the next week to make the playoffs. The Bears went and lost to the Packers in week 17 to be eliminated. So yeah fair point
  24. 49ers all but own the tiebreaker due to being 9-2 in conference vs 7-3 for the Vikings. Only way Bears-Vikings game is meaningless (I think) is if SF loses to the Raiders and the Vikings win. Even then it would also require an Eagles win over the Saints so that the Eagles clinch the 1 seed (Eagles win that tiebreak over Minnesota due to H2H win)
  25. tie counts as 1/2 of a win and 1/2 of a loss. So the Texans with one more win would finish 3.5-13.5 compared to the Bears 3-14
