  1. Jeez. I remember how much people mocked Carr for getting sacked a ridiculous amount of times his rookie year
  2. Zach 11-13 from 3 yowza
  3. Turning into a nightmare year for the Illini...
  4. I also saw that the Twins are the team that Correa's team is reportedly talking to
  5. To be clear the later part isn’t official yet. It will be voted on by the owners tomorrow
  6. Just for fun though, let’s say the NFL does allow an 8th playoff team per conference. What eliminated teams that would now be back in the mix today? Not 100% certain but I think these teams would come back from the dead: -Washington -New Orleans -NY Jets Possibly Cleveland but they were eliminated 2+ weeks ago so I’m guessing the tiebreakers are not in their favor. Would be wild to see what would happen. Like for instance Washington has already committed to starting Sam Howell this week and he’s taken 1st team reps all week. Would he still start or would Heineike start now? The other question is less interesting: would any team clinch a playoff spot due to another seed opening up? I believe the answer would be no as both conferences currently have 3 8-8 teams fighting for the 7th seed right now.
  7. Those all seem like terrible ideas. The reality is there is no clear, obvious and equitable solution out there. Someone is going to get the short end of the stick no matter what happens. I think you just call it a tie and lets the chips fall where they may with everything else going normally. But I'd be open to options that involve removing the week between the conference championship games and the super bowl because I horsefeathering hate that week.
  8. Getsy. We've got to see what happens once Poles assembles an OL that'll be able pass block along with a full season of Mooney, Claypool before passing judgement on Getsy. Like it or not he was severely limited with the lack of talent this year. The onus is on Poles, last offseason one could almost justify him punting, this one, he's no excuse or limitations. The McCasky' should seriously consider replacing Poles if he can't put together an NFL caliber roster going into 2023. I'd like to better understand why we couldn't sustain that offensive outburst that we saw mid-season. I'm sure injuries to Mooney, Claypool and multiple offensive line guys played a big part but it seemed like the playcalling regressed a bit too, as did Fields performance. But we went from scoring ~28 points a game to scoring 15 points a game pretty quickly.
  9. Bulls continue to be the weirdest team ever and end the Nets 12 game winning streak. If it wasn’t for the refs literally altering the outcome of the last 2 games they’d be 19-19 and 8-1 over their last 9 with wins over Miami, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Cleveland and Brooklyn.
  10. Remind me, is he the good blocking receiver? Or am I thinking of Pringle? That's ESB (and Harry)
  11. I wish Boers and Bernstein's "Who you crappin?" was still a thing because this would be a perfect entry. From what I've read Gregg and Claudio grew up playing travel soccer together starting in grade school. They've known each other for years and were reportedly good friends (and obviously longtime teammates with the USMNT). Seems like a weird decision to torch that friendship and hurt your son's status on the team for...reasons. Absolutely no one involved comes out looking good from this story.
  12. I would guess this is what the conversation about personnel between Poles and Eberflus was about. FWIW he CLAIMS that this is 100% health related and he'd still be out if it was a playoff game but yeahhhhhhh not buying it.
  13. Fields will not break the record
  14. Someone did a really detailed Bears offseason projection with 2023 depth chart. I have to admit I don’t know whether this is a good plan or bad plan but figured I’d share it. Thoughts?
  15. I don’t think FPI takes into account things like “losing allows us to draft Bryce Young”
  16. If the facts in the RT are true it definitely seems like Gio’s mom would have been the one to threaten to expose him. Has a reason to have a beef with Gregg and would know the details behind a story from 30+ years ago that only a friend of a couple at the time would know.
  17. Chicago will get it. Bettman wants Bedard in a major market I don't believe in these conspiracies. Why did Connor McDavid end up in Edmonton when the Maple Leafs were in that lottery? Why did Zion end up in New Orleans? Why did Cleveland get 3 #1 picks in a 4 year span? There's no conspiracy, though I'm sure they'd love it if the Hawks won the lottery.
  18. The Bears currently have the hardest SOS in the league (though likely aided by almost everyone beating them) and will now play the 12-4 Vikings to finish the season. Bears SOS is currently .560, next best team is the Commanders at .541. Scenario: 1st overall: Bears loss and Texans win 2nd overall: 1) Bears loss and Texans loss or 2) Bears win and Cardinals and Broncos both win 3rd overall: Bears win and either Broncos or Cardinals win, but not both 4th overall: Bears win and Broncos and Cardinals both lose May be some scenarios I'm missing and horsefeathers dealing with ties but those are the most obvious
  19. Trying not to get too excited about it. Worst record still only gives you an 18.5% chance at number 1 overall and probably similar odds for number 2.
  20. Yes, the agent is just saying he has been intubated. Things are far from good. Obviously being intubated is pretty damn bad, but his vitals stabilizing has to be a positive sign, no?
  21. They will change the schedule to accommodate more off days if they have to. No they aren’t playing 3 times in 7 days. They aren't going to modify the playoff schedule and, outside of that, there simply isn't enough time to work with. Both teams are already in the playoffs, so this is a pretty easy decision. Cancel the game and wherever the teams fall in terms of winning percentage is where they are seeded. While acknowledging that this is the least important part of this situation, curious to see how fantasy leagues handle this as I'm sure there are a ton of championship games that are resting on this game given how many fantasy relevant players are on the 2 teams.
  22. Lmao they had to add 2 extra columns to this graph so that the Bears could fit in
