  1. Hadn’t thought about Robinson. If we wanted to go that route we could almost certainly trade down again to get him. With Herbert currently at the top of the depth chart it is a position of need unless they do something in FA/resign Monty, though Edge rusher and OLine are much more needed
  2. I would love to see them do that. That should make those future picks more valuable. I think regardless who they draft they are gonna have a hard time not giving the Bears a top 10 pick next year. The only thing saving them is that the entire NFC South could be absolutely terrible next year and they might accidentally win the division or at the very least have their win total inflated by a couple wins.
  3. I'm reading some takes that the Panthers are really enamored with Anthony Richardson. Crazy if they traded up to 1 to take a guy who was the consensus 4th QB 2 weeks ago.
  4. When is the last time the Bears had 2 first round picks in the same draft like we will next year? The year we had 3 and drafted Grossman?
  5. Yeah my 2 gripes are not getting #40 and the other 2nd round pick being in 2025. But minor nitpicks for a trade I like overall. I think Poles really wanted to get this done before FA and he may have been able to hold off and get the earlier Panthers 2nd but valued getting it done now. Bears have 55, 61 and 65 now. If there's somoene we love, would easly package 2 of them to move up, but given the Bears holes probably better to use all 3 picks.
  6. Always interesting to read opposing reactions. From what I saw: 50% of panthers fans thought it was a fair trade 35% thought they got ripped off 15% thought they ripped off the Bears and about Moore: 60% are absolutely destroyed that he's gone 30% are sad he's gone 10% are taking slight shots at him, saying things like "he was never able to elevate a bad offense with a bad QB like other top WRs can" (which..wha?)
  7. You would know better than I, but I assume having late career Cam Newton, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield didnt help his production too much.
  8. Perfect spot for Quentin Johnston Is this like the Cubs trying to get all the SSs back in the day? You can never have enough great WRs and Moore/Claypool/Mooney maybe the 15th best WR trio in the league but the Bears have so so so many more holes to fill. I'm concerned about impact game-changing talent on defense. I'm sure Poles has a plan though.
  9. DJ Moore 2022 highlights Also I read somewhere that Moore's last 5 seasons worth of production would make him the 3rd best Bears WR of all time lol
  10. Would Paris Johnson be a solid pickup at 9? Maybe Myles Murphy?
  11. It was originally San Francisco's pick. Yeah, I was just saying that I wish it was #40 overall, which is their own pick. It's hard to assess the value of DJ Moore though...I'm sure that was what the Bears had to settle for if they wanted Moore.
  12. Fantastic haul. Who do we take at 9? Also why is the 2nd rounder 61 overall? I like it but wish it was higher. Carolina had #40 overall, that would have made me like the trade more. And I hate that the other 2nd is in 2025. These are minor complaints though, I wasn't really expecting them to actually do the WR trade thing so wasn't really considering the value
  13. It's funny, their computer metrics never got that bad, at least as bad as you'd expect an 11-18 team to be. They seemed like a team that was playing well below their talent level. I guess the decided to wait until the last week of the regular season to get it together. How do you even seed an 18-18 Big Ten champion Ohio State with 6 Q1 wins, 5 of them coming after March 1st.
  14. Find it interesting that a lot of mock drafts I see still have Jalen Carter pretty much where he was before, in that 4-5 range. I haven't kept up on his involvement in that fatal accident but I assumed he would drop far.
  15. Can't remember if this was mentioned before but to Brock: are the NSBB archives also coming along to the new site? Or at least remain archived and available online? Need to know if I should be making one last trip down memory lane and relive some of my most brilliant posts.
  16. Huh? I think he meant Pace, and specifically Pace not attacking the loopholes until just before they were closed. It's like when the Cubs finally figured out that you can draft committed high school kids in the mid rounds and give them ridiculous sums of money to forego college one year before the MLB said 'screw that' and changed the rules. At least it caught Theo's attention
  17. 5 Big Ten Tournament games, 5 lower seeded teams winning. If Minnesota beats Maryland
  18. I don't understand quote how comp picks are distributed. How the hell did the 49ers get 7 picks - 3 of them after the 3rd round, and how do we game the system like that?
  19. Thanks for sharing a highlight from yesterday afternoon's games
  20. Ohio State winning the following game has to be pure salt in the wound. :hello: I have like maybe 5% of the hate for Ohio State basketball than I do Ohio State football. They're not going to the tourney either way unless they win 3 more so whatevs.
  21. On to the next season which is *checks notes* oh god the Cubs?
  22. I’ve given up trying to understand the last 2 years of Bulls basketball as they trounce the Nuggets who were 30-4 at home this year. Edit: I realize this post comes right after a post where I mention I don’t even pay attention to whether they’re playing anymore, but it’s hard to not notice on Twitter when the Bulls blowout the top team in the west on the road.
  23. Tank win! Hurts when its the Wings though
