  1. Not sure if I'm reading useful information about a Blackhawks draft pick or taking an eye exam
  2. At 35 the Blackhawks take Adam Gajan, a goalie from Slovakia. He is the first goalie off the board in the draft, but NHL.com had him ranked 65th and the 6th goalie. Given how many 2nd's we own I'm ok with a reach for the top goalie I guess Edit: Jersey beat me
  3. Haha they really wanted him and were willing to trade up but got him at 19 anyways
  4. He claims he hasn’t decided whether to spend another year at Michigan but I mean come on. Hobey Baker as a freshman, frozen four appearance, number 3 pick. No point to him staying at UM.
  5. And technically face elimination with a loss. Feels like the US could have had 8+ goals in this one
  6. Watching this is like me playing FIFA on easy. Thru ball leading to a 1-on-1 with the keeper, advancing the ball swiftly with little resistance, crosses in the box finding your players more often than not, etc.
  7. How many years do incoming freshman that get drafted tend to stay in college? 1-2 years max?
  8. There were some rankings that had Moore as the number 7 prospect in the draft. Great value
  9. The Cubs have been outscored 17-2 since Mancini’s error. I blame him
  10. Holy crap that was very cringe worthy by Carey Price I feel for him
  11. You are right that it's not going to work, but I don't think the Bulls had a ton of options here. Due to them being over the cap and his salary cap hold, if they let Vuc walk they basically have like $8m to replace his production and stay under the tax. The only other legitimate options were to work out a sign and trade which I would have been all for, or another tear it down rebuild that I can't mentally deal with right now. But I really have no idea what was out there in the S+T market and whether it would have made the Bulls better. If they weren't going to tear down the team, this was the 2nd best of the 3 realistic options.
  12. What did you miss on? I thought the 500 HR + 3000 hit parts were a breeze (A's 3k Hits - Henderson, SD 3k Hits - Gwynn, Orioles 500 HR - Frank Robinson, Twins 500 HR - Killebrew, 3000+ hits and 500+ hrs is pretty easy unless you assumed someone like Babe Ruth was in both (only 2800 hits). I went with Eddy Murray there). I'm realizing that with the team squares, the answer either comes to me right away or I spent a crapload of time thinking of someone. I did Dave Winfield for Padres and Twins, but havent had a chance to go back and do the other 3.
  13. Just trying to think of this from an NBA standpoint. This may be laughably wrong but.... Kane at his peak had a Jason Tatum like stature. Everyone respects him as a superstar, you can win championships with him as your top guy, he's in just about everyone's top 10 players list, but no one is calling him the best player in basketball. Bedard's upside is more of Giannis/Durant. Not quite prime LeBron but if all goes well he can be in the inner circle of hockey greats. Flame away lol
  14. At least it seems like Bellinger might be coming around after a rough stretch
  15. 1 run on 6 hits since the 1st inning of the Sunday game (15 innings)
  16. Taillon already has us behind ugh edit; and another run. How many years did we sign him for?
  17. Somehow Jose Canseco keeps popping up as an option for these grids. That's who I used for Bos/Tex. Corey Kluber is another one that popped into my head, though apparently he only pitched literally 1 inning for Texas so I'm not sure how I was able to remember him playing there.
  18. I know next to nothing about NASCAR, can anyone explain what this Chicago Street Race is? I figured it was just some exhibition or maybe a new street racing circuit that they have is various cities across the US, but it seems like its an actual NASCAR race just like the Daytona 500? I thought all NASCAR tracks were oval shaped but obviously this one is much different.
  19. Konerko immediately jumped into my head when I got to White Sox/Dodgers. Kimbrel is another recent one. I think that's what makes this so fun. On the surface you think "How hard could it be to think of someone who played for both the Dodgers and White Sox?" and sometimes it is easy, other times you feel like an idiot because you can't think of a single name despite there surely being obvious answers. Also for some reason my brain only wants to think about people who played from roughly 1995-2008
  20. Richie Sexson popped into my head as I vaguely remember a Yankees stint before the end of his career but wasn't confident enough to guess it. Turns out he played the final 22 games of his career with the Yankees
  21. This is the first one I didn't finish. I can't believe Kershaw doesn't have 3000k yet (he's currently at 2910). I put that guess in with full confidence. Then stupidly tried Drysdale before realizing they didn't have to have 3k with the Dodgers, just 3k and play for the Dodgers so went with Maddux. I did enjoy making Jose Canseco my White Sox/Yankees guess which was at 0.5%.
