  1. Rain delay until after the Bulls game plz.
  2. Really? How'd you ever get tickets?? ;)
  3. When it rains it pours haha
  4. Because he might have pitched worse then Rusch this year. Wait what am I talking about. But seriously, Ohman has looked pretty pathetic this year too. I say DFA Rusch, take the hit, send down Aardsma, and bring up Williams and Hill. That's a good plan also. Would you keep Ohman in the pen then? You gotta unless you want to make Hill or Eyre the LOOGY. Dempster - CL Eyre - SU1 Howry - SU2 Ohman - LOOGY Williamson - MRP Novoa - MRP/LRP Williams - LRP Maddux/Zambrano/Marshall/Hill/Guzman - Starters The future is now.

  6. As great as it was to sign Howry and Eyre, it was a pretty terrible idea to resign Rusch and Neifi to multiyear deals
  7. You're in foul territory. Shhh... I was waiting for a comment like that or the "So you live in Boystown?" comment (not that there's anything wrong with that.
  8. I just stepped outside on my deck in Wrigleyville and I think I just caught Prince's HR. Thanks Glendon!
  9. I wonder how many game threads are going to make a completely unncessary Bush-bashing this season, because we've already had 3 or 4. Yeah c'mon the guy seems to really be the savior for that New Orleans franchise. Maybe the Saints will stay in NOLA now.
  10. Wait you think this game is over with 8 innings left to play? Well I guess Glendon could randomly disappear or something and we'd have a shot.
  11. Is it possible to DFA him while the game is still going on? Good thing we signed him to a 2 year contract?
  12. I think there is somebody from this board that went to one of the Cubs-Cardinals games in Wrigley and said they saw Walker hanging out with the Cardinals. I'm not sure though. Yup, I was one of those people. We actually asked him to come to the Cubs and he said "You don't want my ___ on the team"
  13. Didn't he get caught trying to bring a gun on a plane once too? Sorry that he died though.
  14. I want to know what the Brewers are doing with the top of their order. The #1 and #2 hitters today Weeks and Hardy have combined for 9 walks and 36 K's. The #3 and #4 hitters Jenkins and Lee have combined for 27 walks and 36 K's The #7 and #8 hitters Miller and Clark have combined for 16 walks and 11 K's. To compare: Pierre and Cedeno combine for 7 walks and 19 K's. Walker and Ramirez combine for 18 walks and 12 K's I won't even mention Perez and Blanco
  15. Welcome back bad Maddux, how was your winter? just kidding its still early.
  16. Man Prince really rebounded from his slow start up there. I hear he's leading the NL in hits now? Not bad. Perez sickens me in the lineup. He is the complete opposite of the type of hitting team we've been all year. I can't wait to see Jones hit a 2 out double only too have Perez come up and pop up to the 2B on the first pitch

    Wow

Is Luis Montanez on that list?
  18. You should change your title to Williamson, not Williams. Thought you were talking about Jerome, which would be a good deal not Williamson, who I am on the fence about.
  19. Are you willing to stay there for an entire day longer for a chance to rub it in the Brewers fans' faces after we win at Wrigley? Vance, best start to the game thread of 2006 by far and you stole my political joke re: Bush. Maybe hes going to watch game 3 of the Bucks/Pistons series. Or maybe he's so overjoyed that Brett Favre is coming back that he has to go up and celebrate with his fellow Packers fans.
  20. Add to that: The Cubs bullpen gave up 8 runs in the last 4 games and won 3 of them.
  21. Haha, nothing like giving the save to a pitcher you released last year, and having a player you traded get the win, while the player you traded him for get the last out. Typical Cub! Oh well, I expected 2/3 from Florida. Now we move on to Milwaukee. Here I predict 2/3 as well. (It is Rusch, Maddux Zambrano right?)
  22. 10 K's and 3 BB for Pierre this year. That is a 0.30 BB/K rate. His previous low BB/K rate was 0.60 in 2003. Last year it was 0.91. He projects to strike out 84 times in 667 ABs (his average over the last 3 seasons). His previous career high in K's was 52 in 2002 (617 ABs) He projects to walk 25 times in 667 AB. His previous career low in BB's was 31 in 2002. He also projects to get 17 RBI (obvious his low), 119 R (actually his career high), 60 SB (close to his high of 65), etc. etc. Bottom line, he has been terrible, a bust right now. Yes yes its a short sample size. He can't hit like this all year....can he?......CAN HE?
