    David Weathers vs. Mark Prior in 2004 and Sergio Mitre vs. Roy Halliday in 2005 are 2 reasons I don't necessarily think that matchups are as important as they seem. Anyways, I thought we should have skipped Rusch or Williams against St. Louis, had Zambrano pitch Sunday and Maddux Saturday and then save the back end for the Marlins (who actually have been playing decently, all things considered)

    I don't get what needs to be done. From TV they look like they are ready to sit in. Are their still structural issues or something?

    The only question I have is, will the Cubs be relucatant to have closer ties to the organization seeing as we compete directly with the offical Cubs.com message board? Yes we offer some different features that Cubs.com simply cannot offer, but for the most part I see it as a conflict of interest for the Cubs to embrace this site while shunning the Cubs.com site. Either way, great work DJaxx and everyone else that has gotten NSBB this far!

    Welcome to the board! I hear you and Chuck Norris battled for 7 days straight and it ended up in a draw. Pretty impressive. Definitely don't talk extention with Sleepy (slowly becoming Slappy again) until after the season. If he hits over .300 with a .350+ OBP, I'd consider a 1-2 year extension.

    Oh man 83-82 IND with 2:30 left in the 4th. Tempted to switch over for a bit.

    Yes it does. If you reach on an error, you get charged an AB, 0 for 1. Yup, think about it logically, you came up to bat (+1 AB) but you did not get a hit or a walk (0 H), so you go 0-1.

    Wouldn't a runner on first with 0 outs and the 2-3-4 hitters due up be the perfect time for a SB and not a sec bunt? Just wondering.

    Poor Murt is really struggling. I'm convinced that he will turn it around eventually, but I hope its in time before Dusty starts looking for other options... See if a Cub made the play Pujols just made, he'd break his ankle and be done for the year.

    Wow, Pujols hit it so hard that Ramirez backed up a few steps after catching. This game looks like a good shot at a win, but this is exactly how it looked up until the 6th yesterday...

    Not really. Ramirez's was on the warning track and just missed it. Barretts was about 10 feet short of the warning track, maybe a little more. Ramirez's looked like a potential HR off the bat, Barrett's did not.

    Anyone know anything about what to do if you win an eBay auction and the seller doesn't respond to any attempt to contact. I won an auction for 2 tickets to game 3 of the Bulls series for $60, and I have asked him for the invoice, and have gotten no response. What can happen in that situation?

    Neifi is the worst hitter in baseball history. The pitcher is throwing a bit wild, already hit a batter and walked 2. Just walked the hitter before him with 0 outs and the pitcher on deck, swings at the first pitch, which is a ball and gives the pitcher a taylor made DP ball.

    Whats their record when they hit a triple with less then 2 outs and don't score. God, now Maddux is going to start walking people. What did the Cubs do to deserve this? Ever?
