  1. Remember in 2003 we talked about how we would never go on prolonged losing streaks because of our stellar rotation. Whoops. I love Neifi!
  2. Lets put a positive spin on this road trip. We are making other team's fans happy when they leave the ballpark. IM SORRY LEN HOW CAN YOU HAWK TICKETS AFTER AN INNING LIKE THIS??
  3. I agree. I am sick and tired of the injury excuse year in and year out too. It's the GM's job to add depth to this team. Hendry did a good job on our bullpen, but this is one of the worst Cubs offenses I've seen in a long time. and that's saying a lot. Well we can't fire him, unless he hasn't signed his contract extension yet. Maybe its just a verbal agreement and the Cubs can screw him like he screwed us this year.
  4. I'm sorry, the Cubs can't just sit here and pretend everything is cozy because all their tickets are sold out after another blowout loss like this. Take the 2 best pitchers and 1 best hitter from any team with a payroll around ours, and i guarentee them that we're the only one that would have a run this bad against a terrible NL West. SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET FIRED BECAUSE OF THIS
  5. Whats our outscored tally over the last how many games?
  6. OH! How cute a double switch! I love the NL!
  7. The Cubs bullpen is running and hiding at the moment.
  8. Your a White Sox fan? Nope, just a Cubs hater. Same thing
  9. <3 Aramis, looks at a fastball down the middle, swings at a breaking pitch in the dirt
  10. Pierre still managed to ground out to the pitcher, even though everyone else is hitting fly balls off of Schmidt
  11. Thats the only time I've been excited about the Cubs in 8 days. Maybe this will light a spark under them?
  12. What's the difference between Rich Hills curve ball and Sean Marshalls? Hills seems more like a 12-6 right?
  13. Thanks for the cool breeze, it was most cooling on my moustache.
  14. What if the Cubs lost like 16 in a row?
  15. I have no idea why St. Louis writers are spending time writing about the Cubs. How many Chicago writers write about the pflight of the Cards?
  16. Ladies and gentlemen, Bob Brenly posts at NSBB!
  17. For those nice summer days at Wrigley: Catastrophy Under Blue Skys For me: Cranky Unless Baker's Scrapped For last years team: Cruising Until the Bullpen Screws up
  18. Not going to lie, I really like what they've done to the Cell since it opened. I actually tend to go there sometimes just to enjoy a modern baseball experience. Actually, since I don't have a favorite team playing, I go there to enjoy baseball for baseball. I have no complaints with the Cell. Their fans....thats a different story. I won't get into the time I admitted my Cub fandom to some (rather large) Sox fans in the UD and was then followed all the way down to the Bullpen Sports Bar with them screaming homophobic names behind me all the way down (and I'm not gay, but I guess my choice of teams makes me I guess). Pretty pathetic, I know its just a small sample, but I find that lesser examples of this are the norm rather then the exception.
  19. So if you factor in players lost to injuries, the Cubs are still worse?
  20. Yeah, I probably wouldn't go. You know the chances are that the Cubs lose 9-0, and you won't hear the end of it from Sox fans. I dunno, maybe if you have a good tolerance for pain you could go.
  21. Dudes, he's so fast, why would you move him from leadoff
  22. Last I checked, Floyd was hitting about .186 and he absolutely can NOT hit left handed pitching. I don't think he's the answer. The Cubs need every day offense. My bad, I didn't look at his splits, I just remembered that he had a pretty good year last year.
